  11/12/24 I stopped in to get a Tetanus booster today. The last one i had was 6 years ago. I talked to my former doctor's office in TN and they recommended that I get another booster because I cut my finger pretty bad the day before on a rusty car part. The pharmacist did not want to give me the shot because they were "about to go to lunch". I said what time do you take lunch? They said 1:30...it was 12:52. They had 38 minutes. When I asked what time I should come back, they said 3:00. I had to pick my kids up from school, so I said I'd really like to get it done ASAP. The pharmacist then said that she couldn't give me a booster without a prescription from my doctor because it had been less than 10 years since my last one. So I went over to the CVS right down the road and was in & out in 5 minutes. The pharmacist at CVS said "It's better to be safe than sorry." They didn't ask for a prescription or complain about helping me because they were going to lunch in 38 minutes...and they accepted my insurance so it didn't cost me a dime.
