- BPBarbieann PoolerNov 19, 20251.0I recently changed to the King Soopers pharmacy at 38th & Sheridan because they are close to home and I don't drive as much as I did when I was younger. I introduced myself before I got my first prescription there and explained some of my medications. One is a mild opioid that has been an essential part of my pain management for several years. I do a twice yearly med check with my doctor and the is a responsibly monitored medicine. The pharmacy at King Soopers decided that I needed to wait an extra day beyond my refill date without consulting my doctor. They are always slow to refill all prescriptions but they had this for 3 days which I gladly waited but made a decision to withhold it further. They were condescending and rude about it as well. I have been rationing my dosage out if fear that the pharmacist will DECIDE whether I should receive it. The pain management that I have been doing for years is now "off" and i am having trouble doing things and staying in bed longer. I will return to my previous pharmacy (Walmart) after this month. They are further away but have always been kind and pleasant as well as timely. This has been unpleasant and humiliating. I actually was ok waiting an extra day. It is just how I was treated.
