The pharmacists should learn a bit about the issues the medications are meant to treat. ADHD symptoms can become overwhelming to women in perimenopause. These symptoms can include anxiety, depression, overwhelming inability to control emotions, even suicide. I was prescribed Adderall, which I have learned is a controlled substance. I didn't know it was and I was never asked for my ID (I'm told they were supposed to ask every time), asked any questions, etc the first 3-4 times I filled my prescription. The last time I went to fill my prescription the pharmacist wanted to ask me many questions. Told me it was "policy". When I asked why are they asking me personal medical questions where anyone can hear when previously they didn't even ID me the pharmacist told me they had asked questions previously. No ma'am no one there had previously asked anything other than my name and birthdate. They refused to fill my prescription. A prescription that has saved my life. Refusing medication to people who need them can cause death, as it almost did for me. Luckily there are other pharmacies in town that don't treat you like trash and fill the prescriptions prescribed by Drs.
