  Why was my insurance billed twice? And why did the doctor who did my Root Canal shave my tooth down to a NUB, just to add a filling ?

  My name is Michelle Mendoza. I am truly disappointed in this facility. I cracked 4 teeth and went in for emergency care. They saw me quickly and were very kind. I got 2 teeth fixed in the first appointment 1 was a root canal, half way through the procedure the dentist asked me if I really wanted a root canal or if I preferred just a filling and cap he said he can do either and I have a 50/50 shot at it being successful. I said idk how to answer that so what you think is best the root canal is definitely not preferred but I don’t know what is best. He went with the filling and cap. The second tooth, a filling. I went back because I was in extreme pain. They filed down the cap and filled the other two cracked teeth. The pain got incredibly worse. I went to the emergency room that’s how severe the pain is. Then I was informed by the dental insurance that the provider for the second appointment was out of network but the first appointment was in network…. I said how is that possible all the work has been completed by one doctor……they billed under two different doctors. Sterling smiles said I was covered with no issues in network. Needless to say I’m at a different dentist. How about have the owner call me.

  My daughter went in - she had 11 teeth that needed filling. This dentist decided it was a good idea to fill all 11 at one time. They gave my daughter so much novacaine she started having seizures - they transported my daughter to the hospital. The dentist didnt contact any of her family , they were calling her by another name and the dentist sent my daughter with someone elses papers to the hospital. So hospital kept calling my daughter Ashley - her name is Katie. My daughter could have died and we wouldnt have known because the dentist didnt even know her actual name. Worst dentist EVER - thankfully my daughter survived. I am absolutely mortified that this dentist is even allowed to be licensed to practice dentistry.

  horrible experience. snobby office workers, fake doctor. i doubt he is even a dentist. 1st of all, drilled into a crown that didnt need anything done seemingly on purpose. 2nd of all accused me of having oral herpes without testing or doing a biopsy. i had bloodwork done and im negative. would not recommend at all. if you go, avoid dylan mcknight

  Sterling Smiles is a very friendly atmosphere. They worked wonderful with my son and made him feel very comfortable. I highly recommend this business for any child dental needs!
