In 1879 the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, Kansas opened Leadville’s hospital to care for the hardscrabble miners that were drawn to the community. Celebrating over 140 years, St. Vincent Health continues the tradition of caring for the residents and visitors of Lake County and surrounding areas in a newly constructed state-of-the-art hospital.
Today St. Vincent Health offers ambulance (EMS), emergency department, surgery, family medicine / specialists, imaging, laboratory, sleep studies, swing bed, physical therapy, respite and inpatient care & more.
