So Anthem BCBS thinks they know better than my doctor and refuses to cover my generic low dose BP medicine. I didn’t get the name of the pharmacist who helped me this afternoon, but she found a discount/coupon plan to get me my meds out of pocket for dirt cheap. Much appreciated! I’ll be back and will be spreading the word that this pharmacy is the place to go.

I had a concerning encounter with a female pharmacist that raised red flags for my doctor and the doctor's medical assistant. The pharmacist attempted to access my personal medical information from my doctor's office, which was well beyond what was necessary to fill my prescription. Their refusal to disclose my personal medical information upset her, and she insisted she ultimately had the authority to refuse my prescription as a result. Subsequently, they contacted me and recommended filling my prescription elsewhere, as they believed she was on a "power trip." As a newcomer to the area, I had hoped to find a reliable pharmacy, but I cannot trust a pharmacist who disregards my migraine prescription, gives unsolicited advice (a full-on lecture) on medication usage, and casually suggests trying a different treatment. With a chronic condition, I have diligently followed a treatment plan developed with my doctor, which has been the only effective treatment for me and has significantly improved my life over the years. It is safe, non-addictive, and effective. I feel her attempt to intervene was a serious overreach and not in my best interest. As I prepare for travel and need my medication to manage migraines abroad, it is concerning she took it upon herself to intervene and attempted to dictate my medical needs to my doctor and his medical assistant. I’m sharing my experience because I believe her unchecked power-over behavior could cause unnecessary stress (or harm) to someone else. I have seen similar stories in other reviews here, and I validate their experiences with my own. I ultimately had my prescription filled across the street and received it in less than thirty minutes.

This is the best pharmacy and I strongly suggest this over Walgreens in Erie or CVS in Orchard. Rarely a line and they are very professional.
