  It was a simple question: "Are you taking new patients?" That was phrased in an email and a phone message to this Group. It's a simple Yes or No question, but no one could take the time to answer my question. The email was sent almost two weeks ago, and the phone message was left almost three days ago. If this is the non-response I get for a simple Yes or No question, what response would I get (or not get!) if I had a medical problem? Moving on...

  Have been a patient of AFP for 45+ years. ZERO complaints. Always professional. Always compassionate. Detected my prostate cancer in 2003 and possibly saved my life! Annual wellness checks and emergency yardworking accidents (stepped on a garden weasel tool) handled to 100% satisfaction. If you are lucky, they are still accepting new patients.

  The front desk girls in that office needs some training when it comes to professionalism. I observe childish behavior today amongst 2 of the ladies towards me for some unknown reason. I expect to be treated with respect while I’m there. If it happens again I’m calling in out on the spot and I’m finding another PCP. I like the rapport I’m building with Dr J and I do not want that disrupted.

  I was seen by Mallory Jurgens for the first time at my doctor appointment on Thursday, March 19. She had a very pleasant demeanor and listened to me discuss my medical issues intently. I felt like she genuinely cared about me and treating my medical conditions as effectively as possible. I am typically reluctant to go to the doctors office for anything, unless I have a serious medical concern. The way Mallory interacted with me made me feel like I could discuss any medical issues with her and be taken seriously. I hope that she will be the one who sees me whenever I have any medical issues.

  Wasn’t a good experience. Was left in the room after vitals were taken for over 30 minutes past my apt time. No one came in to say the Dr was running behind. The Dr. had to be new into doing this. He jumped all over the place with questions. I’ve been with this practice for over 25 years. All of the original Drs have retired or left. There is one Dr left here that has been there for a good while. However recently (within a year or so) the practice was bought by a corporation and all the original supporting office staff and medical assistants were either replaced or they quit. I no longer get the same “feel”that I used to have and it’s not necessarily better now. All of the drs and PA’s are new to the profession so I feel like I’m loosing out on having experienced drs. They’re all still. “Learning” so they treat “by the book”. Which leaves you feeling like you wasted your time going there. Not sure I’ll stay with the practice. Which is too bad.
