Family member went in with deep cut on finger that required 6 stitches. No X-rays were taken to see if tendon or ligament was severed. Additionally no antibiotic was given. Within 24 hours the finger was swollen and infected requiring the need to go to hospital where antibiotics were given and X-rays take. To determine extent of injury. Absolutely ridiculous that urgent care has no idea how to treat and manage an injury like this. To stitch only without thinking about the long term effects of the injury is tantamount to malpractice.

Dr and PA were great nice, attentive, clear communication, attitude with a grumpy patient in pain - couldn’t be better Took a long time to get X-rays. Being in pain, would have been nice to have some relief while waiting, but understand facility is not approved for narcotics.
Winston, the PA provider, was simply stellar! Top notch clinical skills and compassionate interpersonal skills all in one provider. He helped my daughter through a very, very stressful medical situation with the patience of a saint Thank you!

I would not recommend going to this urgent care or any of their locations.
I exceeded my out of pocket maximum with my insurance coverage very early on. My coverage includes or stipulates that it includes copays. I called and talked to them to confirm. The problem with AFC is that their system does not recognize this and wants to charge a copay regardless.
I explained this to the personnel at AFC and was met with shrugged shoulders and blank stares. This is what our system says and that’s what we go by. Can you please go away so we can go back to scrolling on our phones…
Perhaps that last part is just me being hyperbolic. But it’s hard to believe that they couldn’t find a solution. This seems pretty straightforward to me. I even offered to call my insurance company to talk to them. They said that they had no way of changing it in their system.
I left and went to a different urgent care and my insurance and covered copay was accepted by their system no problem. This has been the case for all of my appointments going forward. None of the others had this issue.
It's okay if your systems doesn't accept it, but it should be flexible enough to be correctable.
It makes me wonder what other errors and possible over billing they are perpetrating. I would look for urgent care organizations that aren’t collecting copays when they shouldn’t be.
Did a walk-in for what looked like a fairly serious hand infection. Got me in very quickly (a function of how busy they are, of course). The doctor took one look at it and said I needed to go to the emergency room, immediately, to see a hand specialist. A day and a half later, still in the hospital, I get a call in the morning from the same doctor that I saw at urgent care checking up on how things went for me. This is the kind of care they give you when you’re not their patient. Imagine how good it is when you are their patient!
Totally awesome! Super impressed! I mean really, who does that these days?
