I am very disappointed regarding my experience with Gary, the pharmacist, and the pharmacy technician working the afternoon of December 27, 2025. My physician submitted a needed prescription refill request to this pharmacy location. Upon waiting several hours for the text notification the refill was ready for pickup, I contacted the pharmacy directly to inquire regarding when I may pick-up my prescription. The technician informed me the needed 20mg medication refill was out of stock and unavailable for another week though they had the 10mg version of the medication I had recently been prescribed available. I reviewed I had three days of the medication remaining and asked if the pharmacist would be willing to write a four day bridge script as I will be backcountry hut skiing out of town for the next week with no other means of otherwise obtaining this needed medication. (Please note there is an existing prescription for the 10mg on file and the new 20mg script Gary reports they are out of stock to fill.) Despite the existing prescription remaining on file, Gary refused to provide a four day bridge script or simply fill the existing 40mg prescription using two 20mg of the dosing currently available for four days until I could obtain my prescription at a neighboring pharmacy that had it in stock.
Adding to my frustration, both Gary and the technician falsely claimed my script had been transferred to a neighboring pharmacy. They suggested I delay my scheduled backcountry trip to collect the prescription they declined to fill. The prescription at the neighboring pharmacy ended up not being available or ready for several days. Neither the technician nor Gary could be bothered to simply pick up the phone to confirm this.
I reviewed my concerns for severe withdrawal of going four days without this consistently prescribed medication. Gary literally shrugged indifferent to my concerns of withdrawal saying something to the effect of, “Well, I guess you should have thought of that sooner.” I am not aware of the policy of King Soopers Pharmacies regarding providing brief bridge scripts for basic, standard prescribed medications though I am deeply disappointed in the demonstrated dismissiveness and indifference of Gary and the working pharmacy technician who declined to provide her name.

My girlfriend and I have been to this Pharmacy within King Soopers a couple of times and every time it's very poor customer service. Getting a new prescription filled is like pulling teeth, and there is zero communication about when your prescription is ready. Unfortunately Walgreens across the street does not work with my health insurance so I'm forced to do King Soopers. I might try the new King Soopers off Indiana near Leyden Rock soon if things don't improve. When I'm told my prescription will be ready within the next 30 minutes I shouldn't have to be told my prescription will now be ready in a few hours. I understand things happen, but I'm not very impressed.

Always waiting over an hour for prescriptions. If you get a call saying your prescription is ready, wait a few days. Every time there's a problem when I go there.
