They have bonded and she is now part of our family! She comes over a few hours a day and helps with everything needed. Appointment scheduling and transportation, grocery shopping as well as fun outings to restaurants, movies and visiting grandchildren. I live out of state and our care-giver calls me frequently , keeping me informed on all levels. My mother was skeptical about hiring a helper but she has been totally happy with their arrangement and finds her life more fulfilling and interesting now. I could not be more satisfied with the service .
