Dr. Berkovich is absolutely the best!! She is an MS expert and explores all medications and tx options with you. She is at the forefront of medicine & technology (she is also involved in FDA trials). She is intelligent, profoundly caring, empathetic, and has a great sense of humor! Dr. Berkovich has great resources (there is an MRI in her suite! how convenient) and has great referrals at her disposal. she always goes above and beyond for me and my family. The office staff is superb!! Boy are they saints to spend hours on the phone with health insurance, pharmacies.. getting authorizations, approvals etc and all the taxing admin things.. (yes it's their job! But they do it competently, with great followup and communication -and they get it done with urgency). If her staff can't do it then literally no one can. I never have to chase them down.. I cant say enough good things about Dr. Berkovich. I love her!! Ps I never write reviews but that is how impactful and important she is to me! Hope this info helps someone.

Staff - office not commensurate to Dr Berkovich’s excellence .Simply the best neurologist I have encountered in over 26 years with MS and having practiced medicine myself.

I would not recommend this place. On my first visit I thought that I had found my new MS specialist. I was referred to her by my neurologist. He said that she has the most updated knowledge about DMTs for Multiple sclerosis. The first visit went great. She spent an hour with me and went over with detail my MRI and suggested the meds she thought would be best for me. It all went downhill from there. More like I was no longer treated as a patient. No one ever returns calls. No one ever follows through with prescribing meds. No one at that office knows what they are doing. Not one phone call back regarding my care. If you care about your health and the future of your health do not go here. Absolutely do not recommend.

I feel immeasurably grateful to be in Dr Berkovich's care. She is a brilliant physician, clinician and researcher, and has wonderful bedside manner. I have been seeing Dr. B. for the past 4 years and recommend her with highest regards. I trust her implicitly. She always goes above and beyond to be sure I am taken care of. From visiting me in the hospital outside of her clinic, to day-to-day things like prescription refills, appointments, dealing with insurance etc - her clinic is absolutely the best!

Frequently Asked Questions About Regina Berkovich MD, PhD Inc. MS Neurology

Is it really necessary to start long term MS medication if I am feeling OK?

In brief - Yes. All recent success in improving long term prognosis of MS patients is to large degree resulting from the long term disease-modifying treatment, which means disease get modified in a favorable way

Does it matter which disease-modifying treatment for MS I am on? I prefer the safest with the least side effects....

It matters a great deal. Once you are on any therapy, we need to make sure it is working! Sometimes they don’t, and this is why you can see therapies being switched to meet the needs. Frequently we may see some signs indicating that particular therapy may work better for individual patient - even before it gets started. You can save a lot if time and effort by following professional advice, although even then efficacy and safety of therapy will need to be monitored. This is why we need to see you periodically, communicate with you and get MRIs as needed.
