I am disappointed with the last visit I had at this place. My daughter needed a filling, I thought it went great since it was done quickly by Dr. Gleason. But my daughter then told me that she felt the pain , they didn't wait long enough for the anesthesia to take effect. She raised her hand to alert them but they ignored her. I was there but she was really being a champion and I though she just was scared. Then they didnt even do a bite test, so when we got home my daughter had to skip dinner because she couldn't eat, it was painful. The next morning we went back I requested another dentist. They fixed the issues and listened to my daughter and took the breaks as she needed.

My experience at West Covina Ortho has not been the greatest. The young ladies in the front office are not friendly. They don’t smile nor try to make a conversation with me , unfortunately they don’t make you feel welcome. My appointment was at 2pm , I checked in at 1:50pm. I was taken to the back at 2:10 and waited 35 minutes to be seen by the doctor. There was only one dentist for 8 patients. I can’t wait to get my braces taken off and not return here again.

Came here to get my son braces and although the staff who do the work on the patients are nice this place is a huge logistical nightmare. Every time we come to the Ortho its over a 45 minute wait to be called. We used arrive 15 minutes early just to wait an hour but now coming right on time guarantees us a 45 minute wait. And for what? Patients walking in after us and being called there seems to be no organization or first come first serve system. DO NOT COME HERE

I believe the doctors here are professional. However, most of the procedures are handled by dental assistants, which makes the assistants’ level of professionalism and attitude extremely important. We paid for a two-year orthodontic treatment plan for our two children, and it has only been a few months since we started. During this time, we’ve already had to come in frequently for follow-ups and adjustments. Each visit, we are assigned to a different assistant. Some of them are kind and patient, and I truly appreciate that. However, during our most recent visit, we had a very upsetting experience with one assistant. While we were waiting, my younger daughter needed to use the restroom. It was occupied, so she simply stepped in and out twice to check if it was available. She was not running, making noise, or disturbing anyone. Despite this, the assistant who was treating my son spoke to her in a very rude and harsh manner, telling her she was not allowed to walk back and forth. There were other children moving around as well, but we felt unfairly targeted. In addition, while working on my son’s teeth, the same assistant showed clear impatience—shaking her head, sighing, and displaying behavior that made both me and my children very uncomfortable. We have also had multiple issues with brackets falling off. On one occasion, we came in for an urgent visit and waited nearly an hour, only to be told that it would take another hour to fix, but they were fully booked and we had to reschedule. By the time we returned, several brackets had already fallen off. Then we were told that because too many brackets had come off, there might be additional charges. This is very frustrating, as we were originally told the treatment fee would cover everything. Now, due to these issues, we are losing time and may be asked to pay more. After investing so much money and time, this level of service is disappointing. Once this treatment is completed, we will be looking for a different clinic and will not be returning.
