My family used this location of Home Instead to hire a caregiver for the afternoon/evening for my elderly mother who was in town for a family wedding. Both the staff to set up the care and the caregiver, Jordan, were absolutely fantastic. The communication from the staff was excellent, timely and very pleasant. Jordan was phenomenal, and was an immense help to our family during the wedding. She made the whole experience for my mom and family easy, comfortable, and fun. Top notch care all around!
I am a new client who signed up on short notice recently for my 84-year old father. So far, we have been very pleased with the service. The manager who did the intake was very responsive. She came out for the intake and explained the service very well and answer all of our questions. We set up an initial plan, but after two weeks we wanted to modify it and they were very flexible. My father likes the caregiver who comes several days/week on a regular basis. It's still early days but the first impression has been very strong.
I am writing this as a current client who has been genuinely disappointed with the administrative side of Home Instead over the past several months. When I first signed up for service, things felt organized, professional, and dependable. Unfortunately, something has clearly changed behind the scenes. At some point, rates were increased with very little notice, which was frustrating and difficult to plan for. Even more concerning, I have now been billed incorrectly on multiple occasions. I have also received another client’s invoice, which is alarming from both a privacy and professionalism standpoint. While the caregivers themselves have generally been kind and hardworking, the administrative side of the business has significantly declined since when I first started services. Phone calls about billing issues have become far too common, and I no longer feel confident that what I am being charged is accurate without double-checking everything, which as a client , I should not have to do . I don’t know what changed, but the lack of oversight, billing accuracy, and communication has been less than desirable. As of current , back office issues are overshadowing the care being provided and I am truly disappointed.

Unfortunately, the quality of this Home Instead office has gone downhill significantly since the previous manager left. There appears to be a complete lack of leadership and organization. Staff seem unsure of procedures, communication is inconsistent, and it often feels like no one truly knows what they are doing.
What was once a well-run, reliable office, now feels chaotic and disorganized. Issues that should be handled quickly are either delayed or mishandled altogether. This has created frustration not only for us caregivers, but also for the clients we serve who depend on consistency and professionalism.
Caregivers, who are the backbone of this business, do not feel appreciated or valued by ownership. As an example, caregivers received body wash as a Christmas gift, which felt dismissive given the demanding and essential work they do every day.
Home care requires strong leadership, respect for staff, and clear systems. Sadly, those elements seem to be missing. I hope ownership takes notice and makes meaningful changes before more damage is done.
God bless. Galatians 6:7-8
