  So I had a severe fear of the dentist, and as a result, I neglected my dental care for a long time. Dr. Efner had no judgment when I finally was forced to address my fears. She is caring and encouraging. She has a light hand and a pleasant chair-side manner. Now I look forward to my cleanings, which is something I could never have imagined saying 10 years ago.

  I can’t say enough wonderful things about Serene Dentistry and Dr. Klara Efner! From the moment you walk in, the entire staff makes you feel welcome with their friendliness, professionalism, and attention to detail. The office itself is absolutely amazing—modern, clean, and equipped with state-of-the-art technology that really sets it apart. Dr. Efner is truly one of the best dentists I have ever seen. She is incredibly knowledgeable and highly skilled, and it’s clear she genuinely cares about her patients. What I appreciate most is her honesty and compassion—she takes the time to explain everything thoroughly and ensures you feel comfortable every step of the way. It’s also evident that she stays up to date with the latest advancements in dentistry, which adds tremendous value and confidence as a patient.   I did not have a good experience with Dr. Efner. 1. During the middle of my appointment, she made me leave and wait in the parking lot while she worked on a different patient. 2. She glued in my crown before sizing it properly. Three times! Who does that? You should size it before you glue it down! 3. She was very rude to her employees in front of her patients. There are many dentists to choose from in Ventura. I definitely would recommend a different dentist.

  I had the most lovely experience at Dr. Efner’s practice today after not having been to the dentist in a very long time. Walking in, I was honestly a little nervous but that feeling disappeared almost immediately. The entire team was so friendly and inviting. Mika, Evelyn, and Emily were incredibly kind, patient, and reassuring throughout the whole visit. And Dr. Efner was wonderful, thoughtful, and optimistic. You can feel that this is a practice built on care and compassion. I’m genuinely grateful for how comfortable they made me feel and actually looking forward to coming back, which is not something I ever thought I’d say about a dentist. Highly recommend Serene Dentistry to anyone who might be putting off an appointment. You’ll be in the best hands!

  From the moment I walked into Serene Dentistry, I felt genuinely cared for. The level of attention to detail in both customer service and the dental work itself is unmatched. I initially came in unaware that my current insurance plan was honestly terrible. Lori took the time to walk me through better options, helped guide me toward a new insurance plan that they conveniently accept, and made the entire process so much less stressful. That guidance alone meant so much to me. The office truly lives up to the name Serene. They placed a warm pillow around my neck, offered lavender essential oils to help me relax, and created such a calming environment — especially after the stress of dealing with insurance. When I returned for treatment, Dr. Efner was absolutely amazing from start to finish. She made me feel comfortable immediately, used a heated pillow again, and checked on me consistently throughout the procedure. What truly stood out was that she personally followed up hours later to check on me. That level of compassion and attentiveness is rare. I had actually come to my appointment right after a workout and felt a little lightheaded because I hadn’t eaten. She even offered me a snack afterward to make sure I felt okay before leaving. That simple gesture showed how much she genuinely cares about her patients as people not just appointments on a schedule. Dr. Efner also guided me regarding orthodontic treatment, and I’m still amazed at how helpful and thorough she has been. I cannot recommend this office enough. I am so grateful to have found such wonderful, compassionate professionals. If you are looking for a dentist who combines expertise with true care and attention, this is the place.
