  From the outside, the sports hall does not look very nice, with many construction fences around it, and the equipment outside is not very appealing either. The equipment is not the newest. Inside, however, it is a different story: it looks modern, not too warm, and features cool, up-to-date equipment

  Review: Very Disappointing First Impression at Gold’s Gym Venice Beach I recently moved to Venice Beach and have always dreamed of joining Gold’s Gym Venice Beach. It’s the most iconic and well-known location, and becoming a member here was part of my long-term plan. I’m very club-savvy, work in the gym industry myself, and specifically wanted to join this location as a serious, long-term member. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. When I called to inquire about membership options, the staff member initially introduced himself as Brian. I never asked for a short-term or one-month membership. My questions were very simple: whether the membership was month-to-month or long-term, and how cancellation works if proper notice is given. Instead of answering those questions, he repeatedly focused only on saying that if I cancel, I would be charged for an additional month regardless of whether I used the gym or not. He kept framing the conversation as if I was only joining for one month, which I never stated. I even became frustrated and said it felt like he was trying to talk me out of joining the gym. I explained that I work in the gym industry and genuinely wanted to join Gold’s Gym as a member. At that point, he became upset and hung up on me. When I called back asking to speak to someone else or a manager, he then claimed his name was Oscar and said that Brian was on lunch. This left me very confused as to whether these were two different individuals or the same person using different names. Each attempt to reach someone else resulted in the call being blocked or ended. This entire interaction completely ruined what had been a very positive day and left me shocked by how I was treated. This staff member does not represent the Gold’s Gym brand properly and, unfortunately, prevented a genuinely interested, long-term prospective member from moving forward. I hope management reviews this situation and addresses it so other potential members do not have a similar experience. Dec 22nd 2025 3:00pm - 3:30pm

  I absolutely love this gym and have been coming here since 2021. The equipment is excellent and well maintained, with everything you could possibly need to achieve your fitness goal. The people, the energy, and the overall vibe are genuinely great and motivating. The only downside, and it’s a small one in the big picture, is that the music can sometimes be extremely loud, which can make it hard to hear your own music through headphones. Turning it down just a bit would make the experience perfect. That said, this is still hands down my favorite gym. The quality, community, and consistency keep me coming back, and I highly recommend it!
