Altura Centers for Health has been providing medical and dental care to the community since 1995. Historically the clinic was formerly owned and operated by Tulare Local Health Care District. It was purchased from Tulare District Hospital (TDH) on July 1998. Altura first became a Federal Qualified Look A-Like Clinic in 1997 and in 2000 became a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), and is a deemed federal public health service employee. In addition, the clinic is a 501 (C) 3 Non-profit Organization. Altura is governed by a committed Volunteer Community Board of Directors which meet once a month and serve on several committees. The majority of the Board of Directors are patients of Altura. Hence, it is a clinic governed by its patients as well as community

I have been to different clinics in the county, and no one cares as much or works as hard to stay connected to their clients. That's the way it goes. no other clinic sends out surveys after every visit. And if you leave a remark suggesting they need to improve, my experience is by my next visit they have already begun to work on it. NO OTHER CLINIC is that actively involved in fixing, dynamically fixing problems. Of course, it's not perfect! It's a super affordable health clinic that takes care of EVERYONE. Your results will certainly be different from someone else. Please give them a visit and give them a few more stars 🌟 if they helped you.

She was asking me my medical history but was not listening to what I was telling her she was arguing with me about things she’s didn’t even give me the chance to answer to. I went in for headaches but this morning I woke up with a cold by chance I asked her can I bring up another concern it being my cold . She told me “no this is a short visit you are not the only patient I have you will have to come back in another two weeks I have things to do” mind you she was not even in the room with me for five minutes and the whole first she spent not letting me give her my medical history… she also told me that I need to loose weight .. if she looks on my chart I have been loosing weight and the other was to drink water while i have the biggest jug of water in my hand and that was her answer to why I get headaches. Now I know why she was the only doctor open
