  Mom is 82 with Alzheimer’s and a diabetic who speaks Spanish. We needed extra caregiver assistance so retained Comfort Keepers to find a good match. Comfort Keepers came out to do a thorough assessment. The provider they sent, Julie, was a perfect match. She was a trained home health aide who immediately developed a good rapport with mom. Julie is very attentive, preps and feeds her meals, helps mom get dressed, gives medication reminders and is an amazing companion. Most importantly, she does everything with compassion and patience. Julie is so great with mom, that mom is happy to see her and mom laughs and has a good time. Just recently mom had a near fainting spell and Julie was right there to catch her and get her safely to the ground. Julie immediately took moms vitals and made mom comfortable until paramedics arrived. Julie’s quick response prevented a serious fall. When Julie is providing care for mom we have a great sense of relief knowing she is in good hands. This is important because I travel often for work and need someone who I trust and is reliable. We are lucky to have Julie.

  At first, my sisters and I were nervous about having "strangers" come in our home and take care of my 84-year-old mom with Dementia, but we knew that we needed the help, and they did just that. The office was able to come and take with us the same day we called about the service even after a couple other companies tried to schedule us for a week later. After the meeting, my family and I felt assured this was going to be the right fit for our mom. The caregiver that came out was experienced with dementia patients and she was even able to teach us a few tricks to handle her behaviors. As time went on, our caregiver became more like family and my mom seemed to really enjoy her time when our caregiver. We were so happy that our mom is able to enjoy her best years in her home instead of a nursing home. Thank you Comfort Keepers.

  Management and staff have been sensitive and understanding to the needs of my father. They have assessed his living situation and offered solutions to rising issues dealing with old age and dementia. Not an easy task. Our ‘very independent’ father has been surprisingly happy with the service and companionship of his caregivers! Communication with the agency is easy, and the daily logs reported by the caregivers let's us know what goes on each day someone is there. Comfort Keepers Lomita truly provides a ‘comfort’ - knowing our dad is receiving good, attentive, individualized care.
