When you need to replace a single tooth with a mini dental implant, the process starts with a visit to our office for a thorough evaluation. We take X-rays, photos, and a 3D scan so we can accurately measure how much bone is available. We also review your health history to make sure the procedure can be done safely. On the day of treatment, we numb the area and select the implant with the appropriate width and length for your bone and anatomy. Once the implant is placed, we take a digital scan to create your crown. In many cases, this allows you to go home able to speak, chew, and feel confident with your smile. The procedure is comfortable, involves little to no pain, and is typically completed in a short amount of time.

When a patient comes to our office for a same-day implant and restoration, the process starts with careful planning. We review the medical history and plan the implant placement in advance to ensure it is done safely and correctly. On the day of the procedure, we place the implant and then take a digital scan. Using our in-office CEREC technology, we design and create the crown the same day. This allows patients to leave with their implant and restoration in place, so they can function normally without delays and go home feeling confident.

Mini dental implants typically cost about half as much as traditional dental implants. They also require less healing time, and in many cases, the tooth or crown can be placed right away. The exact cost of a mini implant depends on each patient’s specific needs and treatment plan. However, they are generally more affordable because the procedure is less invasive, healing occurs more quickly, and overall treatment time is shorter.

Dental insurance coverage for implants can be a bit more complex than other procedures. If you need a single implant and your plan includes implant coverage, we can usually get at least partial coverage. When multiple teeth are missing, coverage depends entirely on the specifics of your dental insurance plan. Some plans may help, while others may not. This is something we review carefully during your appointment. We will review your insurance benefits, explain what is covered, and walk you through your options so you can make an informed financial decision.
