I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for Caitlyn at the LensCrafters Valley location for the outstanding service she provided during my recent visit.
Caitlyn was extremely helpful, professional, and transparent throughout the entire process. She took the time to clearly walk me through my insurance benefits, explain my options in detail, and help me select the right glasses and transitions without any pressure. Her knowledge and honesty made a big difference, and I felt well cared for and fully informed every step of the way.
What truly stood out was her patience and genuine desire to help. Caitlyn created a comfortable and positive experience, making sure everything was handled correctly and efficiently. It is clear she takes pride in her work and cares deeply about providing excellent service to customers.
Because of Caitlyn, my experience with LensCrafters was exceptional. She is a true asset to your team and absolutely deserves recognition for her hard work, professionalism, and dedication. I strongly believe she is someone worthy of praise and consideration for advancement or a raise.
Thank you for having such a high-quality team member. Please be sure this feedback is shared with Caitlyn and her leadership team.

Friendly and helpful staff, convenient location, reasonably good product options at affordable prices if you have insurance, and they accept most insurances. They will even adjust or tighten the frames that we may have purchased from them previously- at no extra cost.
I easily found the frames that I liked for my reading and computer glasses with Maria’s help. There were other guests who needed help, so my job was passed on to another employee who seemed to be trainee.
A week later when I went to pick up my glasses, my reading glasses were perfect, but the one’s for the computer had blurry vision. I guessed that the lenses had been set to an incorrect focus distance. But the Lenscrafter attendant suggested that I try them out for 3 days, and if they still did not feel right I return them and Dr. Cohen (optometrist) would re-check the measurement.
Three days I returned to LensCrafters for a re-measurement. I learned then that the measurements were correct but that they had entered the incorrect measurements into their system. Thus, although Dr. Cohen had clearly labeled both prescriptions LensCrafters’ staff had ordered two sets of reading glasses for me - with slightly different focuses!
They ordered glasses with computer focus this time, the wait time was doubled to two additional weeks. And, I still don’t know if they’ll be done right when they arrive.
Before this mis-order and a further 2 weeks wait I was ready to give the Simi Valley LensCrafters a 5 star rating. But this isn’t quite a 5-star service. Maybe, a 4 - if the glasses are made correctly when I pick them up in 2 weeks? I cannot say that I am still impressed by the competence of the staff.

I stopped by this Lens store to look at some frames I was interested in. I visited another location and tried the Oakley rafters frame which I loved but wanted to try it one more time before buying. I found parking easily in the plaza where this store is. I came close to the evening time and they were not busy at all. I was the only customer there that day.
Abbey was the person helping me and let me shop in peace. I mostly checked out the Oakley frames area and found the rafter. Abbey was able to built up a quote for me and I was surprise with the overall price with the holiday deals. The customer service was great here but the value is on the higher end.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
