The optometrist was super nice and helpful, the exam was a breeze and best of all the optician saved me $300 on contacts for the year compared to 1-800-CONTACTS. They also gave me some trials to tide me over in the meantime so I’m not walking around blind.

I went to check out 20 minutes before close and the woman had an attitude. It doesn't take that long to take my credit card information. She had no interest in selling me glasses. They lost my glasses. The manager tried to make me contact the shipping company and find out what happened to the package that was delivered to them. That's not my job, but she refused to do the work. The shipping company confirmed the store had received it and somehow they still were not taking responsibility. I ended up having to go to Santa Monica store to have them replaced because the store is poorly run.

Not a clean office. Selection of glasses was not great so I bought glasses somewhere else and brought them back to have lenses put in. Took three weeks to get my lenses. That is a very long time. when I went to pick them up the girl was so bothered by having to adjust them just a little bit for me. It’s very different from the experience that I had at my previous Eye Doctor where they made sure to get it right before you leave out the door. When I went to leave, I asked if she had a couple of lens cleaning class that I could have, as my previous eye doctor would always give me cleansing spray and plenty of wipes and even a new case if I wanted one. She huffed and went to the back and got me one cleaning cloth and gave it to me and didn’t say a word. Super rude. Mind you, there were three or four employees in there, and I was the only customer in there so they weren’t busy at the time I was in there. I won’t be returning to this LensCrafters

Jessica was just so helpful! She repaired and spruce up a pair of glasses that were not even purchased from LensCrafters. She was quick, professional and polite. I am absolutely amazed and impressed. Definitely visit this location!

Just sharing that Mai at the Lenscrafters in Sherman Oaks (next to Gelsons/Best Buy) was extremely helpful, polite and thorough. She greeted me with a smile, and solved my problem with a GREAT attitude. This is the way customer service should work, which is so lacking these day. A great employee sending the right message to customers. Thank you Mai!

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
