This office just doesn't care about the patients they serve. Namely Dr. Tue Te and the receptionists, medical assistants, etc. I had tried setting up appointments with Dr. Tue Te as a follow up after my sleep study back in November multiple times, after calling multiple times and sending her and her office multiple messages (some of which she has never responded to). Some of my messages have been unanswered for over 3 weeks, some for over a month and a half. When she did respond to some of my messages, she ignored the fact that I had been trying to set up appointments with her to no avail, due to her having no availability until mid January at the time (it was November when I was trying to schedule). She told me to schedule an appointment with her despite the fact that I had been trying to, and I am suffering with untreated central and obstructive sleep apnea which has deeply negatively impacted my performance in school, and at my internship, as well as my mental health. I am functioning extremely poorly, suffering from extreme brain fog, depression, memory issues, migraines, TMJ, etc, but her office does not want to help me and continually lets me down. Additionally, they billed me twice for reading my sleep study I had done at another place, despite me only having had one sleep study at the time, and not even telling me I'd be billed for even one reading of a sleep study! Her office has no answers as to why I'm being billed twice for this, and neither does the billing office! I even tried disputing it with billing to no avail, so now I'm disputing it with the records department (which will take a while, meanwhile the bill is already due). I finally got an appointment with a new doctor (Dr. Kashani and he is wonderful) but unfortunately he is leaving uclahealth and it is unknown when he will start at his new practice . Therefore when I messaged him to ask what the process will be to get a CPAP prescribed and given to me, considering he is leaving ucla health, his office responded , not him, and sent me a nonsensical message that makes no sense, essentially telling me to call their office (the number they provided is not for their office, but for a call center to schedule an appointment). I have attached the message they sent me when I messaged Dr. Kashani, below.

Extremely Disappointed by Lack of Consideration and Communication. My husband had an appointment scheduled this morning with Dr. Brian Rosenberg. When we arrived, we were told that he was doing procedures today and would not be seeing patients. The staff even asked if we had been notified; only to later confirm that no one had made any attempt to call us to reschedule. This appointment was very important to us, and it should have been treated with the same level of importance by the office. The lack of consideration for patients’ time and the complete absence of communication are unacceptable. We made the effort to show up as scheduled, only to be turned away without notice. So disappointing and unprofessional. Is this how all new patients are treated?

A total and complete JOKE of an establishment! Incredibly unprofessional disorganized and very disinterested in patient care. I saw Dr. Brier over three months ago for sleep medicine. The sleep tech that popped in to instruct me on the home sleep study gave me totally incorrect instructions. He continuously said "do your best" to the question of "Do I keep the monitor on when I wake?" I asked that question 4 or 5 times and finally he said "yes you can turn it off". Upon my return I found out that the entire uncomfortable sleep study experience was a waste of time and his instructions actually prevented the monitor from recording any data. So of course the test had to be repeated. In regards to the physician, he has ignored every attempt at communication via mychart, or phone. I left numerous msgs and no response at all, no call backs, no regard to my inquiries whatsoever. I had to literally raise my voice at the staff to get them to deliver a msg to him the first time around. It is now three weeks after I asked the doctor another question regarding my care. 4 Mychart msgs and 2 calls later I still have no response. They do not seem to care at all about the patient's experience. Very terrible at communication! Do yourself a favor and go to a more professional location.

This place is top notch. I have been horribly late ( in excess of 30 minutes) to two appointments due to bad luck in general, and they were kind enough to fit me in-- that shows sincere compassion and dedication to patient care. Dr Alfonso Padilla and the RT Jose Salo never once made me feel rushed or that I was an inconvenience. They were great teachers and explained everything in terms I could understand, with my new diagnosis. Today I worked with a respiratory therapist Jose Salo who was absolutely stellar in terms of teaching me the ins and outs of my equipment, troubleshooting my mask, and showing me what my data means. He was able to address all of my questions, was patient and kind, and had a lot of tips to optimize mask comfort and best practices for maintenance of the parts. I felt compelled to write a review due to the support I received from Jose and this clinic in general. Thank you to this clinic and UCLA in general, every experience has been pretty exceptional.
