  We feel like our caregiver Cheyanne was literally an angel plucked right out of heaven to take care of my Mom. With my Mom almost 80 years old and diagnosed with Parkinson’s 8 years ago, keeping her safe and her home has been a challenge. We called Alyssa at Home Instead who promptly scheduled a home visit. Within 2 weeks she had matched us with our caregiver, Cheyanne. After her first shift we all knew we had really found a match made in heaven with Cheyanne and my Mom. When my Mom had hip replacement surgery Cheyanne was willing to work longer shifts and added days. During this stressful time I can’t adequately put in to words how grateful we are for Home Instead, our facilitator Alyssa, our scheduling and billing contact Michelle and our honorary little sister, our angel, Cheyanne.   Remaining healthy and happy during the pandemic is due to our wonderful caregiver. She has removed our risks to coronavirus exposure by limiting herself to our care only. In addition to her consistent help with our individual activities of daily living, she established protocols to prevent our home from potential infection with front door deliveries and mail. Unable to leave home for medical appointments and social engagements, she has coordinated meetings using Zoom on her personal laptop. She assists keeping us physically and mentally fit with daily exercise such as dancing, stretching and games of chess. We consider our caregiver a cherished member of our family. Plus we remain forever grateful to Home Instead for hiring and training outstanding staff.

  Our caregiver is our personal super hero and we adore her. And our family and friends feel the same way because of her genuine concern for our well being. We admire her willingness to assist two people with opposite needs at the same time. She is so smart and we rely on her to solve household problems and tech issues with our computer. She is a wonderful bilingual conversationalist, keeping us aware of current events and popular culture. Six days a week she arrives with a big smile and eager to work making our lives easier. She prepares our meals, handles household chores like laundry and maintains our small garden. She also does a physical therapy routine and takes walks to help us maintain a healthy lifestyle. She has our complete trust handling our errands such as banking, shopping groceries and picking up our prescriptions. She is flexible with her hours allowing us to accept appointments and invitations away from home. Then accompanies us to medical appointments, community events and social gatherings with friends. We are delighted with Home Instead for selecting such an exemplary employee that allows us to remain safe, healthy and entertained in our home.
