I could deal with long wait times, 1 hour random closure for lunch, and incredibly slow staff, but inaccurate prescription fill for me abs my children was to much. I would avoid this pharmacy despite the convenience it offers. Hopefully Safeway management will try to reform this needed department!

I've had a bunch of issues with Safeway in SF recently. The security and two specific Safeway employees are insulting and condescending at this location. I'll name two incidents. 1) Let's start with Thanksgiving. I arrived 10 minutes before closing for milk and butter, and they were locking one set of doors. I asked if I could come in and the employee motioned yes and tried to open the door, but he didn't have the key and the security guard ignored him. He pointed me to the other door. I go to the other door and a different security guard gave me attitude and belittled me right of the bat. He told me I was late, they close at 6pm, and I should've known when they close on Thanksgiving. I politely showed him that it was 5:50 and said that a Safeway employee said I was allowed to enter. He doubled down and started passively aggressively insulting me while customers leaving the store told him to let me in. I asked to get the manager and he absolutely refused.I told him I'd report this to corporate, and he said "Right, Sir, you have your people call our people." It was at this point that other customers who were watching the scene started offering me food because he was being so offensive on Thanksgiving. This security guard seemed either drunk or high. He needs sensitivity training or a new career, or does Safeway agree that his behavior is representative of this company? 2) I notice that two items aren't coming up with the sale price, and tell the cashier of the error. She says I'm wrong, and there's no one to check the price. I tell her that it's a drink from the register end cap fridge, which is right next to her. She must've known about the pricing error, because she checked the two fridges on registers next to hers while avoiding her own which had a different selection. A customer who was standing next to the fridge told her I was right, and then she BALDFACE LIED and said I needed to have the app for that deal without looking at the sale. The same customer told her that it wasn't a barcode scanning tag, it was an "everyday savings" yellow tag, I agreed. She just said, "do you want to buy it or not?" I responded that I'd only purchase it at the advertised price, and it's called a bait and switch when you raise prices after someone decides to purchase something, all while the customers in line verbally agreed with me. Conclusion) This Safeway has some really bad apples, and the management is letting it slide. Safeway has ruined my Thanksgiving with rude security who lied about what time it was and tried to make me feel stupid about showing up late when I was on time. Safeway refuses to honor posted yellow tag sale prices by acting like they didn't see the number, and refusing to check a second time while multiple customers are telling them they're wrong. I could understand the laziness, but I have now been personally insulted too many times. You have crooked employees who need to be straightened out. I'll be talking to management and can provide a few more examples of the soul sucking experience of Safeway Customer Service.
