A bit unorganized and missed one test, so had to drive back. They don’t even realized till I asked on Spruce after back home. Make sure you double confirm with them on your agenda for visits and don’t trust their arrangement fully. When back for the test, nurse who was responsible for the test even told me I should have asked her... hmm I would have asked if I knew more to be done right? Not professionally and not the way I would talk to someone who had to go through this trouble.

Dr Noel has set such a high bar. I was working with a different clinic before RMA and the difference is night and day. At RMA, Dr. Noel and associates are actually concerned with hormones, checking them daily/as needed. The previous clinic felt more like an IUI/IVF "mill" and didn't check my hormones once, even when I tried to point out something that I thought was impacting my fertility. At RMA they took that concern of mine seriously, tested it, confirmed it and addressed it within a week or two of our initial consult. I feel so lucky to get to work with this group and Dr. Noel!

We recently froze embryos at RMA of Northern California with Dr. Noel as our primary doctor. We retrieved and froze 6 PGT-A regular embryos (of 30 retrieved eggs -> 26 mature -> 24 fertilized -> 7 mature embryos -> 6 PGT-A regular). Pros: - We are happy with the results! I am 29 and I did have 30 follicles at the baseline appointment, so the number of eggs and embryos are all around what I was expecting. - We were able to choose our doctor and get an initial fertility consult very quickly! I thought Dr. Noel was great on this call -- it went for almost an hour, and she was very thoughtful. - I loved getting to look at the distribution of follicles by size after each ultrasound on the Artemis app. - Getting regular blood results (most results within 2-3 hours) and nurse feedback via Artemis and Spruce was also great! - The actual egg retrieval process was very smooth and pleasant! - We had only positive to very positive interactions with all staff at RMA, including a favorite ultrasound tech who did the majority of my scans! - Using Alto pharmacy was painless and convenient (free same-day delivery). - I was relieved that I only had to take two weeks off of running to freeze eggs! And found the shot instructions provided by RMA to be good and helpful. Cons: - It took a few days to get clearance from the finance department which was frustrating since it pushed back my cycle and thus lengthening the period of time pre-cycle where I had to take progesterone pills and go without some things (alcohol, sex, cold medicine, ibuprofen, sushi, etc). - There was some guesswork / lack of clarity during the period between our initial consultation and deciding to go ahead and freeze embryos. I had to Google that it's common to start a cycle on day 1 of one's menstrual cycle, but with my menstrual cycle being irregular and with having lots of travel plans I wasn't sure whether I would be able to do an egg freezing cycle. It seems like perhaps going on a progesterone pill at the start of one's period is a way to delay the start of an egg freezing cycle, which is what we ended up doing (while waiting for financial clearance), but this information wasn't clear which made me unsure about whether I was able to proceed with an egg freezing cycle. I think having an irregular period plus busy travel schedule made this particularly irksome -- at one point I asked "if my period is one week late, could I go freeze eggs?" and they said "sure that works, let's get you booked!" and I was like, "I can't guarantee my period will be exactly one week late???" and so then they stopped responding. Ultimately, I'm grateful that (when my period was exactly that one week late) I messaged back and they were able to get me on progesterone that same day and starting IVF shots 8 days later. - One could expect more communication from a doctor throughout the process - I never actually met with Dr. Noel again after the initial ultrasound. However, she did respond (late at night!) after I messaged via Spruce about feeling lightheaded during shots one night. As I was getting daily messages from a nurse on Spruce, I didn't feel this negatively affected my experience.
