Very unhelpful staff but the main issue is they have deceptive advertising practices and should be fined.
Their email ad claimed 60% off designer frames/lenses until May 3. The email links to set up an appointment in the store and there’s no way to see the items on sale online.
In the store, they say it’s a separate business from online and don’t actually carry any frames that would match the sale. Also didn’t offer to help browsing any frames.
Additionally, I was with my parents who were thirsty and they refused to offer any water or use of the restrooms. The store also felt stuffy and smelled like chemicals.
The store is empty on a weekend for a reason. Don’t support this business.

I could not rate my experience with this LensCrafters branch more highly! I traveled to San Francisco from out of state for a 9 day trip and forgot all my contacts at home. After frantically searching for an optometrist near my hotel that would be open on a Saturday I lucked into finding this branch and Kaitlin who was incredibly helpful and responsive. We had a plan figured out while I was still in the air on the way to SF, the pickup was so smooth, and I am so grateful. I highly recommend this store!

If you do not want to read the entire review, here is the short version: This place is amazing and the people are wonderful. If you are searching for an extraordinary Optometrist and phenomenal Opticians, look no further. This place is it!
Let my preface by saying. I am immensely grateful for the staff/representatives here at Lenscrafters in conjunction with Eye Exam of California. The people here genuinely care about me as a person and that is apparent throughout my several years visiting this location.
I do not generally write reviews but I felt compelled to share my experiences and thoughts about the establishment. This is my third year visiting this Lenscrafters location for my annual comprehensive eye exam, in addition to purchasing new eyewear.
Eye Exam
There are a list of words I can think of to describe the care that Dr. Ng provides to her patients: extraordinary, thoughtful, caring, insightful, patient, thorough, humorous, kind, etc. Dr. Ng is an incredibly kind individual/Optometrist who demonstrates professionalism and personality simultaneously. She makes the eye exam experience feel very comfortable and seamless. I know she cares about my eye health and her patience shines when taking the time to answer all the questions I have. She is very thorough and detailed with responses and explains clearly the reasons behind certain issues related to my eye sight/health. The word "comprehensive" tends to get thrown around from various practices, but I will tell you here and now with 110 percent to the power of five certainty and truth that Dr. Ng exemplifies that word. I can honestly say without a shadow of a doubt that Dr. Ng has helped my vision immensely throughout the past three years. As of this current moment in time, I trust only Dr. Ng for my vision health, and no one can convince me otherwise. I am extremely appreciative.
Optician(s)/Eyewear
The Opticians who support with the eyewear selection and purchasing are amazing. In my opinion, there is a significant difference between those who genuinely care about what is best for me and those who simply want to sell me something. Let me say that it is definitely the former that is represented at at this Lenscrafters location.
A.R. is one of the most amazing Opticians I have met and worked with. She is patient and provides space for me to decide whether 1) I want to purchase eyewear or not, 2) time to walk around to look at frames, and 3) asks follow-up questions to ensure I have selected the most optimal frame and lens for me. Moreover, A.R. takes the time to get to know me as a person and interests and vice versa. At no point during my visit did I feel anyone was trying to make me buy something. It was completely my volition and choice with zero pressure. A.R. was thorough and went through all specifications of the glasses (frame and lenses) and showed me samples of the lens to ensure it was aligned with my preferences. I cannot describe how refreshing it is to meet an Optician who places the human side of the person first before anything else. This is the exact reason, I will absolutely not go to anywhere else for my glasses as long as I live in the city.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
