  Home Instead was professional, thorough, and compassionate. They cared for my 82yo father during the last three months of his life on hospice care. I got to know several of the caregivers personally as we cared for my father together: I especially treasured my father's time with Yvonne, Rihyana, Sebastien, and Kaye. All four of them were outstanding: deeply empathetic, and highly skilled. I also felt very comfortable leaving my father alone with Home Instead, as they were trustworthy, and even kept my father's apartment clean. I had a few concerns along the way, and the Home Instead administrators were responsive, and made all the changes I requested. Thank you for making a difficult time in our family's life a little less difficult and a little more joyful. Home Instead was everything I was hoping for in hospice caregiving.

  My family was very pleased with the support that Home Instead provided for my mother during the last few years of her life. They were very responsive to our questions and concerns for her well being and her caregivers were well trained, patient and kind. They worked well with my mother's support team of doctors and home therapists. The Home Instead office answered our questions about cost of care and how to work with the Long Term Care Insurance that was available to us. The Home Instead team did a great job of making the very challenging end-of-life journey easier and allowed us to cherish every day with my mother in the best, most positive way possible.

  In needing to hire a caregiver for my mother, I was so lucky that I called Home Instead. We were able to schedule an appointment quickly and Mayra couldn't have been more patient and kind to me through a difficult and emotional time as we set up the process. She suggested that, for my situation, having two individuals share the week would allow for optimal coverage just in case and again, I couldn't have been luckier. Both Barlin and Gabby were wonderful. They both so kindly and respectfully handled my mother and her dementia. At times I know my mom could be a real handful, but, again, luckily for me both Gabby and Barlin, in a short amount of time, got used to her quirks and responded to her needs always with compassion and patience. I never felt apprehensive leaving the house I shared with Mom, because I knew that she was in good, safe hands whether it was Barlin or Gabby that would be there with her. If you're in need of a caregiver for a loved one, and especially when the unexpected happens, you're likely feeling a lot of stress and anxiety like I was. Home Instead responded immediately and made the process as easy as it could be. Having one less thing to worry about made a huge difference. I can't recommend Home Instead SF highly enough.

From the initial consultation on the phone, to easy scheduling, to coming to a better understanding of the senior needing care in my life, the professionals at Home Instead showed attention to detail and compassion, while providing advice that helped clarify the situation overall.
