I am extremely disappointed with how I was treated yesterday at CycleBar in Scripps Ranch.
I had been a loyal rider at the Carmel Valley location for five years and never once experienced any issues. When the Carmel Valley studio until they closed, I had no choice but to start coming to this location.
Yesterday, I arrived six minutes late to class after driving all the way from Carmel Valley. The manager, Jose, refused to let me enter because he was saying this is their policy While I understand policies may exist, the way this situation was handled was extremely disappointing and lacked basic customer service.he threaded me poorly and very rude.
After being a loyal member for five years, I expected a more respectful and considerate approach. A simple, polite explanation — or even allowing me to join the class this one time with a reminder about the policy for the future — would have made a huge difference. Instead, I was treated as if I was trying to disrupt something critical.
Because of this experience, I canceled my membership and will not be returning. I recommend that anyone considering signing up at this location think carefully about the level of customer service they may receive.
This is respond to your response :
I've been riding with CycleBar for years and have attended countless classes. Over all this time, I've seen many people arrive late or leave early, and I have never once witnessed someone being treated the way I was. No one had ever brought up this concern to me before, and this was the first time anyone spoke to & in that manner. Even in your club , I've arrived a 5 to 10 minutes late to class which barely happens but it’s always emergency may occur , before without any issue, and I've seen others do the same. We are all adults
- everyone has a phone with a flashlight and can safely find their bike, or you guys have flash light and can escort to their bike. If this is truly your policy, that's fine - but the way it was handled was completely unnecessary and disrespectful.
Considering how far I drove to attend class, a more professional approach would have been to guide me in with a light, seat me, and simply remind me to arrive earlier next time. Instead, I was treated in a way that felt dismissive and uncalled for. Please don't make excuses for what happened. I'm genuinely
disappointed. After years of loyalty, I did not deserve to be treated that way. Unfortunately, I will not be returning. It’s more insulting you are still finding excuse for what you have done. Your reputation will never be the same.
