I had an issue with CycleBar and expected the usual runaround, but Joey, the manager, completely changed my perspective. Even though he wasn’t in the office at the time, he still took the time to connect with me, explain everything clearly, and make sure I felt heard. He went above and beyond by offering me a refund, even though he didn’t have to. That level of understanding and customer care is rare, and I truly appreciated how helpful and considerate he was throughout the whole process. Joey made what started as a frustrating experience into a positive one

came in for a spin class I booked through ClassPass, understanding that it’s a third-party service. I know some studios may not favor ClassPass, but if that’s the case, it’s confusing why you choose to partner with them. My class was canceled through ClassPass, not my fault, and I had planned my whole day around it. When the issue was happening at the front desk, the only solution offered was to pay $15 for a bike (a “discount” from the usual $27). This felt like poor customer service and an attempt at an upsell rather than a solution. The staff kept saying it was “out of their hands,” but there were bikes available at the moment. A simple acknowledgment of the inconvenience and letting me take the class I had planned would have made a huge difference. One staff member suggested signing up for a later class, but those were full, so it wasn’t a real solution. I’m not trying to be difficult, but this experience felt frustrating and avoidable. I hope the studio considers better ways to handle these situations in the future to improve the customer experience. I come here often and enjoy the class didn’t think the staff would care more about cash grabbing.

I spent the month of July in San Diego to get away from the hot weather at home, and began a spin routine at the Hillcrest Cyclebar. What I can say is that it was an outstanding experience. Not only did I get the workouts of my life (I am a Peloton person), but the service from Joey and his team was absolutely phenomenal. They jump hoops to make sure you have what you need and have not a good, but a great experience. They are very personable and approachable and I really felt that they valued me being there, even though I would never be a regular customer. They gave me a better package deal in person than online too! I cycled with trainers Joey (2x), Carly, Emogene (3x) and Marc, and they were all outstanding. Whether you are a beginner or experienced, you are welcome and there is no pressure for newbies to perform past their capabilities (you can sit if you want and not get yelled at). I highly recommend CB Hillcrest.

I was visiting San Diego and decided to come here through classpass. I felt very welcomed from the moment I walked into the studio. Everyone was very friendly including the instructor David, who helped me set up my bike. I would definitely come back again if I ever come back here
