Club Pilates Mission Valley is a boutique Pilates studio specializing in reformer fusion classes for anyone, at any age or fitness level. Pure to Joseph Pilates’ original Reformer-based Contrology Method, but modernized with group practice and expanded state-of-the-art equipment, Club Pilates offers high-quality, life-changing training at a surprisingly affordable price.
I truly dislike a company who doesn't clearly state their terms on the phone they called me to confirm the 'try it' class which I was happy to invest in... no mention of grip socks - which I have at home and it just feels like a sleezy way to get $16 even when ppl may not be sure if they want to commit. It's a business model: get people to invest and feel like they HAVE TO stay since they already bought the sox... its just the principle- happy to have spent 16 if it was mentioned to me and I forgot they called me and talked to me on the phone twice & no mention of it.

I really wanted to like this studio since it's the closest to my home, but unfortunately, I didn't enjoy it at all. I initially took their 30-minute intro class, which seemed appealing, and decided to sign up for the unlimited classes which required a 3 month commitment (signing up for unlimited gives you priority to book classes since I could never get in with class pass or a one time class with them). However, I was charged an enrollment fee, which surprised me, as I've been to other well-known Pilates studios and this was the first time I encountered such a fee.
After attending only a couple of classes, I realized this wasn't the studio I wanted to be a part of. It seems there are regulars who have been attending this studio for a while, and during the classes, the instructor would often engage in random conversations and/or comments with them. There's a time and place for this, but it shouldn't be during a class. I'm used to a more professional setting where the focus is on Pilates, and the instructors assist and ensure you're performing the movements correctly.
When I decided to cancel my membership, I explained that this was my reason. However, the studio is still requiring me to pay for my last month in September, which I find to be poor customer service—especially since no one reached out to me after the fact and I only went to 3 classes. I do not recommend this studio!

I don’t recommend the mission valley location at all. I was with them for 5 months & when I informed them a month in advance that I will be moving due to military orders, Chantelle told me that I would be charged for the last month regardless (even though I was never told I have to give a month notice) i still gave a month notice 02/23-03/23 but she said that it has to be from the “billing date” to be considered a month. I informed Chantelle that I didn’t know of this policy and that this is a military relocation but she gave no room for any other option but the fact that I will be charged the +$200 no matter what (or another option that was $20 cheaper, which honestly made no sense & felt like a scam) Now that I moved to another state and checked with a different club pilates, they told me that when it comes to military orders you are waived any fees no matter what & that you can also freeze your membership for as long as you want at no charges. Also my mom goes to a different location in san diego and they are way more lean and understanding. I was very disappointed that she made me pay +$200 for the last month that I barely was able to attend, it was very inconsiderate of military orders that we have no control of.

Love love it. Instructors are great. I feel so much stronger. Wish I had time to do it every day.
