  At first dentist and staff were very friendly. Then the dental staff had some changes and things went south very quickly. I arrived for my appointment and checked in. After the appointment I was shown the back exit of the office. The new receptionist ran out into the parking lot stating " you have to see me first! You can't just leave without checking with me" She insisted that I return with her and was talking trash to me. There wasn't any reason for her rude behavior. The dentist and dental assistant had already said that I was done and showed me the back way out. Since this event our communication has been difficult. She refuses to give the doctor my messages, she's rude on the phone, and prevented me from having an office visit. I spoke with the dentist about this and he said she was new. Doesn't give her the right to be rude to his patients. I've elected not to return to this dental office. I have found another dental practice which is very welcoming and friendly.

  Went to get services and ortho work up and when I asked how much the insurance would cover, they said that they wouldn’t know until they contact the insurance. I was cancelling the ortho work up because I thought they would charge and I was told that the insurance would cover and I would not have yo pay anything so I got the work up done. Just got smacked with a $150 bill and called the office where they just said that the insurance did not cover their 100%. So because their percentages don’t add up, I’m stuck with the bill as confirmed by the receptionist at RiverLake Family Dentistry. This is unacceptable and I should have been provided with an explanation of benefits worksheet that would outline what was covered and what wasn’t instead of waiting until they spoke with the insurance. Shouldn’t that have been done before scheduling the appointment?

  100 percent hands down the best dentist in the whole United States just look at the rating. It speaks for its self.

  I've been seeing Dr. Garland for a few years now. The Doctor and his staff have always been helpful and easy to work with. This last Friday I had a temporary crown installed on my front teeth, which has made my smile already better, but I experienced true dedication, when I called Dr. Garland on a Saturday to say that my temporary crown had come loose. I thought we would set something up for a Monday. Dr. Garland said without hesitation on a Saturday morning, " I"ll meet you at the office in an hour." He fixed the temporary and saved the weekend for my Husband and I. Thank you, Marianne Guinane
