I'd love to give them a 5-star, but at the moment, I do find the scheduling frustrating. However, I want to give them credit for a lot of other things that are important to me--cleanliness of the studio, friendliness of the instructors and staff, consideration, and/or accommodations. Of course, I love the fact that the studio is very close to my home, so that is a very BIG PLUS! Since the studio is new, I am pretty sure they are also still adjusting to how to run the business. For now, though, I am satisfied with the service I get and hope to continue to be able to attend their classes.

I really wanted this location to work for me. I cancelled my membership at the Brea studio in anticipation of this new spot opening because it’s much closer to home. I had high hopes. During my 30-minute intro session, I was informed that phones are not allowed inside the studio and must be left in the cubbies near the entrance. I left mine there, but I felt anxious the entire time. My phone is also my car key and, as the wife of a law enforcement officer, it genuinely feels like my lifeline in emergencies. I understood it was only 30 minutes, but I knew then that I was uncomfortable with the policy. I had already signed up online using the promo rate before physically taking a full class, so I decided to move forward. At my first full class, I was again told I could not bring my phone inside. I shared that I had been a member at the Brea location for two years and had never been required to leave my phone. I was told every studio is different and that La Habra enforces the same rule under the same franchise owner. The interaction began to feel defensive. When I explained that I was uncomfortable leaving my phone in the cubby and stood firm, I was told it was simply policy. I then said that if that was the case, they could go ahead and cancel my membership. At that point, I was told I “didn’t have to do all that” and that I could just take my phone with me. That shift made the exchange feel even more unnecessary. If flexibility was possible, it could have been handled with understanding from the start. Instead, it escalated to the point where I felt I had to put my foot down just to feel heard. I did enjoy the challenge of the first level 1 class. I also want to mention something that stood out during the second class I attended. It was a Level 1 session with several new-to-Pilates members asking questions. Initially, the instructor sounded patient and kind, but as the questions continued, it became noticeable that her tone shifted and frustration seemed to build. In a beginner-level class, that felt surprising to me. New members asking questions should feel supported, especially in an environment that can already feel intimidating for beginners. I did cancel my membership and remain contractually tied for now, but I would be open to returning once the early growing pains are addressed. With most classes currently being intro or Level 1, I’m hopeful the studio will continue evolving as it matures.

I would love to say that this location and it's instructors are wonderful and all that jazz but unfortunately I can't because the membership is incredibly frustrating. It is impossible to get into a class unless you are booked out far in advance and even the waitlists are constantly full. I signed up for one class a week on Jan 11th and one month later, I still have not gotten into a class. For the price of the membership, not being able to consistently attend classes makes it hard to justify especially when your credits are use it or lose it
