So I had just finished complimenting this store for how fabulous they had been in taking care of my controlled substances. Well today I got to have some issues with Tom, it was my fault that I ran out of Meds so I was trying to ask why my script was archived and could they handle getting it sent over for a refill. He really couldn't give me a direct answer so I started getting rude and asked if he could just handle it. Tom finally said yes. I wasn't comfortable with his delayed reply so I call my Dr.'s office and spoke with them and they said just have the pharmacy call them direct to get a partial filled until the beginning of the week when Dr.'s are in. I called the Pharmacy back only to find out that Tom is the pharmacist on duty and he refused to call the office to get a partial fill. He stated that he sent it electronically and he couldn't do anything else. So now here I am out of Meds because once again my fault that I ran out, life just gets in the way. Shouldn't the Pharmacist be more helpful? I know I was rude but shouldn't Tom be more helpful as a Pharmacist?

Severely disappointed in the experience I had with the pharmacist at this location. I’ve been coming here for years without any issues, but this recent interaction left me feeling frustrated and dismissed. At only 20 years old, I’ve made the difficult but important decision to quit a long-standing nicotine addiction. I visited the pharmacy to pick up both nicotine patches and gum, but ended up needing to return twice in one day due to a delay in communication between the prescriber and the pharmacy. When I was finally able to speak with the pharmacist, I was only offered nicotine gum at a dosage of 18 mg per day. I now understand that gum and patches might not be recommended together depending on dosage, but given that my current nicotine intake is over 10 times what the gum provides, I asked if I could just receive the patches instead. The pharmacist said I could get the patches—but then refused to sell me the gum, even though it was part of the prescription. I was confused and asked him to explain and he said he doesn’t feel comfortable selling me the dosage. I didn’t have other options so I agreed to just take the patches, only to be told they didn’t have the 21mg dosage in stock. What upset me most was the lack of communication throughout the process. The pharmacist seemed frustrated with me over a lack of response from my doctor—something I had no knowledge of. When I asked questions to better understand my options, he described me as “confrontational,” even though I was simply trying to advocate for my health and my tone reflected my understandable frustration. In the end, all I was able to purchase was the lower-dosage gum, which doesn't come close to meeting my needs as I try to quit. This was one of the most disheartening experiences I’ve ever had in a pharmacy. When young people take the initiative to break away from addiction, this is the kind of treatment we receive—dismissive, judgmental, and unhelpful. This experience is exactly why many people continue struggling in silence rather than seek help. Please do better. Listen to your clients, especially when they are reaching out for support. We deserve to be heard and treated with empathy, not judgment.
