I normally don’t write reviews, but my experience at LensCrafters in Roseville was so frustrating that I feel people deserve a warning.
1. Promised 1 Week, Took Almost 3
I was told my prescription glasses would be ready in about a week. Instead, it took almost three weeks.
2. They also wrote down my phone number incorrectly, so I never received any text or call. On top of that, there was no email notification either. It’s baffling that a business handling medical prescriptions can’t even manage basic communication.
3. Prices Are Ridiculously High
The cost of the glasses was honestly outrageous. For what I paid, I expected much higher quality and much better service. Completely not worth the price.
4.
When I finally went in to pick up the glasses, they were crooked right out of the box. The associate tried to adjust them but couldn’t get them straight. I left the store with glasses that still didn’t fit properly.
5. No Warranty on the Glasses
For glasses this expensive, I expected at least some kind of warranty. Not only was there no included warranty, but the staff member actually told me that warranty denials are common online, so they recommend paying extra for the in-store warranty. Honestly, that is ridiculous.
Overall, this was one of the most disappointing optical experiences I’ve ever had. The long wait, poor communication, high prices, and lack of basic competency were extremely frustrating. I really hope they improve their customer service because this was unacceptable.

My meta glass took two weeks before it arrive. Don’t believe what they say arriving with a week or 7 days or a Week to pick glass. Saw Patrick and waited for him to help me since he was the one that help me measured my glasses. Waited for half hour since he was helping somebody. After he finished with the customer he disappeared. He didn’t even say that he’s leaving or endorse me to co workers. Good thing this one nice guy came back to help me. I won’t come back to this lens crafter anymore. Their brand name frames are expensive too.

Dr.Mann was very nice, patient, and helpful as she answered all of my questions! Larry helped me identify flattering frames, and he was so patient as I took my time deciding on the perfect pair! I had a great experience with my eye exam and frame selection! Definitely ask for Larry to help you pick the right pair of frames!
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
