My child started at this center (previously xcite-Steps) 4 years ago and since ACES took over everything went downhill! Since February of this year we've had 4 different supervisors, Behavioral Therapist we stopped counting after 7 (yes SEVEN!!) My daughter was successfully feeding herself, allowing her hair and teeth to be brushed, working on potty training and other great goals were being met. Unfortunately, after ACES took over they changed EVERYTHING within a week to 2 weeks (they even closed the center) -- they removed the rock wall and many other things that these kids loved about the center - most importantly being the experienced and devoted staff. The place was no longer a fun center but a regimented, area of wannabe classrooms. A couple of weeks before our last day, one of the BI's told my husband that she couldn't change our child's diaper (that was 4 hrs!!) The worst part was the constant turn-around of employees - full disclosure my daughter isn't the easiest kiddo, but I suspect that ACES does not pay decently (& something I discussed with the supervisors) was their HR department had/s no clue how to hire. Most BIs initially were missing over 50% of their scheduled time, some up to 75% - then they would leave. Huge trigger for Autisic kiddos is constant change and that's all ACES had been; from the TOP to the bottom. Ultimately, after my daughter tried to "elope" / she tried to push an exit door open; which had been the 2nd time, first time staff told us but nothing came of it) ... one hour before her session in October we were told they had decided to hold a client meeting due to her attempt to open the door; and that she could not return to the center unless at the meeting it was determined that it was safe for her to return (that they "were not sure they could keep her safe". I mentioned that this is an issue on a Global level NOT a client level, as this is a common behavior with autistic children and another parent had told me that their child had actually ran out of that back door (ehich leads directly to a parking lot) before. Fast forward to the meeting, we were informed that the discussion of her elopement had shifted to her behaviors... in summary she could not return. In summary ACES only wants those children who do not have extreme behavior, aparently or elopement issues (even though they wanted to do safety training with her in their surrounding area OUTSIDE) ... they mentioned that they had shifted their program to be more to acclimate "kids to a school setting" ... I asked them why we were never told of this shift in program because my child is already in school and is in center for behaviors not to acclimate to school settings... we waited 6 months to get an experienced BI and did as they wanted In-home and ultimately both partied decided that it would not work, yet, ACES reported in the exit report to Catalight that their recommendations was that she have in-home therapy ONLY. Further screw our family with 1) NO aba services (right before two major school breaks) and 2) tying us to in-home ABA (which now we have do additional assessments to reverse) even though they KNOW it's NOT beneficial for our child. We are convinced that ACES is just about billing the hell out of our insurance and Zero true and genuine care to help our Autistic children. If you're child has mild autism the center "may" work; but for those with more serious concerns of your child's moderate to severe behaviors this center is not equipped to help your child, run don't walk away!!!! I gave the center two stars for the only 2 stars that remain there Blanca and Matteo!

I contacted Ace’s to sign my son up for ABA therapy. Initially, I spoke with Erin, who confirmed they had availability and that my son could begin services. We had Kaiser send a referral within a few weeks, but it was later declined by Ace’s. Despite multiple attempts to follow up, no one returned our calls. When I called from a different number, Erin answered and was very rude. We explained that we had spoken a few weeks ago about availability and that the referral had been declined. She said she doesn’t make those decisions and claimed we had called several months ago, which was not true. When Kaiser offered to resubmit the referral, we declined. Based on this initial customer service experience, we are concerned about how therapy might be handled. It seems the company may have changed ownership, and while their reviews are mostly five stars, our experience suggests that not all staff are knowledgeable or professional. For anyone considering ABA therapy, make sure to research thoroughly and choose a provider with good customer service from the very beginning.

The best center for ABA therapy ever. Utmost professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness, with continuous and constant support for the family. The supervisors are highly skilled, and the therapists are truly exceptional. Thanks to them, we’ve been able to regain a sense of normalcy, and our child is learning to manage his emotional crises. Thank you, ACES, from the bottom of our hearts!
