- GRGrace RiosJun 3, 20251.0My mom had a post op appointment today with Dr. Vega at 3:15pm, we didn’t leave the place til 5:30pm. Let me just say that the one star is not for the doctor I understand he can run late and be behind, and believe it or not I didn’t mind that waiting it was the receptionist that was rude and unprofessional. I asked her how much longer will my mom be seen at 3:45pm, we checked in at 3:00pm. She said our appointment was at 3:30pm and I showed her the text Miriam (the surgery scheduler) sent that my mom was scheduled at 3:15pm. Her response was “I don’t know what she told you, but she’s scheduled at 3:30pm.” Already with an attitude. We proceeded to wait for an hour and halfway through I asked again how much longer and asked her if she can ask the nurse because she’s done it for other patients. Again, her demeanor was unprofessional. If your office is running late, the last thing you want to do is be rude to the patients that are waiting and give them attitude. It was uncalled for. I know it was out of her control but she could've been more polite instead of acting like we’re bothering her for no reason. I wish I had gotten her name. She’s a petite hispanic girl with braces. She’s one of the lady you check in with.
