  I am writing this review with the hopes to share my story to help someone else. I was diagnosed with heart failure, and I also have chronic rhymothoid arthritis. Prior to either diagnosis, I was independent and self sufficient, after the diagnosis, it became clear I needed support in addition to what my husband was providing. I began to research in home services and would later convince myself I didnt need it, but my body was telling me different as so many of the things that was easy for me had become hard to do. It was frustrating, disappointing, and even sometimes humiliating to myself. After going back and forth in my head I decided it was time to bring in the support. I reached out to Home Instead via a consultation, they listened, asked questions and was very clear of the services they could provide via the caregiver. They really took note of what I needed to help improve my quality of life. After the intake, I was still nervous but knew it was for the best. That following week, they had a caregiver assigned to me. My caregiver Annette arrived on time, she was kind, polite and very sensitive to what I needed, even when I did not know what I needed. Annette was so attentive, supportive and helped me balance being able to still be independent. She did not make me feel ashamed to ask for help. She went with me to my dr appt and while she was never far, she understood and respected my space. We returned home, she made sure I had lunch and my afternoon medication. You can tell she loves people and the responsibility she has of them when they are in her care. My husband was extremely complimentary of her and her care for me. I am so glad I found their services, they care about the care of their clients. 10/10 would recommend. Top tier customer service, pricing, service, caregiver selection, response and communication. In a very short time, my quality of life has improved without the loss of my independence.

  Hi we’ve been clients of HIS for about 3 years and while we’ve had some good caregivers, Yvonne is who stands out the most. She cared for my grandma who was bed written and she was very thorough and patient. After my grandma passed in January we continued with Yvone to be a caregiver for my Grandpa. She is engaging and encourages him to be active. We enjoy Yvonne she is a valuable asset to our family.

  Home Instead Caregivers were willing to work with my schedule. I felt comfortable with them being in my home and that my husband was well cared for. I will recommend them to others and if I need this type of help again I will use them. Our Caregivers became part of our family.

  You need to know this before hiring them. Christmas 2016 Mother went into the next stage of dementia. She had a caregiver 8am to 5pm. But neighbors reported her walking down the street 1am. As I own a retail store and Christmas is my biggest month, I had no time to do research. I hired HISC to do all the shifts other than my Mother's main caregiver during the week. Fortunately the main caregiver reported any/all wrong doings and there were A LOT: -the CG being there to protect Mother from getting up at night and wandering...caught her sleeping -several CGs were fired as they got into verbal and pushing altercations with my Mother -they had to be told to clean up after themselves. They'd bring food and leave all the crud in the kitchen sink. -a sign had to put on the refrigerator that the bottled water was for my Mother - not them. -several CGs were fired because they would just show up, sit down on the couch and do absolutely NO interaction with Mother - just their nose to their cell phone the entire time. The list goes on and on - weekly there was another issue the main CG would report to me and I would report to Kim - oh by the way, the ONE review 5 Star was written by Kim herself. You will spend far too much money on CGs sent by HISC that have had maybe a month's training before being sent out to your parent's home to care for your loved one. Run from them !
