I am not a regular customer of GNC and had only made a purchase in another GNC store a couple of years ago, so I agreed. However, I later realized that she had signed me up for the highest tier of membership, which requires an annual fee, without explaining this to me. When I questioned the extra charge, she told me the membership required a “deposit” that I could use toward future purchases at any GNC store. After returning home, I discovered that this was not a deposit at all, but a nonrefundable membership fee. The cashier had misled me with incorrect information. So pay attention when checkout.
