I was previously under Dr Michelle Cabrera since 2021. However, she suddenly left this practice and I received a letter in the mail sometime in mid-August of this year, stating that I would have to reschedule my annual women’s health routine check-up with another provider within their office.
I have since moved to West LA. But with the super short notice, I wasn’t able to find an OB/Gyn right away out in my area. The earliest I would be able to see one in West LA would be at least February 2024.
So even though I am no longer based in the Pasadena area, but because I have already been an established patient with this UCLA OB/Gyn office in Pasadena, I decided to book an appointment with another provider within their Pasadena office so I could get seen and examined sooner, at least for my annual exam this year.
The staff was really courteous, helpful and professional over the phone. They had appointments open in September for both Dr Cynthia Nguyen and Dr Ashley Benda. But Dr Nguyen was available a little sooner for an August 29th appointment. So I decided to go with and try Dr Nguyen since her availability matched my schedule the best.
For my first-time OB/Gyn visit with her in late August of this year, Dr Nguyen was truly amazing 🌟😃! She was extremely courteous, friendly, professional, and very patient with answering all of my questions regarding my routine check-up for this year 🙂!
She was very thorough with checking me for any newly developed lumps or polyps, and ran the necessary tests within her office, but also ordered my annual mammogram and breast ultrasound. I still have the mammogram and breast ultrasound as standing orders in my patient profile because so far, the earliest I can get into a UCLA facility to complete these is March 2024. But I did ask to place myself on UCLA radiology’s wait list in case there are any cancellations in the coming weeks or months prior to March 2024.
For the tests and labs that Dr Nguyen was able to do right in her office, she was really prompt about following up with me via UCLA MyChart regarding the results.
I would highly recommend her to any of my friends and colleagues in the San Gabriel Valley area 😃! She is really attentive to detail, very patient with answering any questions you have, and you don’t feel rushed at all because she really takes a lot of time to thoroughly examine you and address any of your concerns 🙂!
Personally, I thought she was much better 💫 than my previous OB/Gyn practitioner who had suddenly left their office. I only wish I could have started at that office with Dr Nguyen sooner 🙂! But I think she just joined this practice only within the last year or so and is still fairly new to this practice.
Finding a great 🌟 and caring ❤️ OB/Gyn physician or practitioner is really like finding a diamond 💎 in the rough. In general, it’s so hard to find a high quality one 💫 😳!
If she was practicing in West LA, I totally would continue with her care 🥰! You really feel like you are in good hands 🙌 when you go to her 🙂!
The only main parking lot 🅿️ adjacent to this medical building charges for parking. But because this is an independent parking lot, there isn’t any kind of validation that any of the practices within this building can give for patients. Fortunately, the parking fee is not outrageous compared to most places in Los Angeles County if you’re there for just a reasonably moderate amount of time.
My parking fee was a total of $7.50 for me to park here for my visit with Dr Nguyen.
