When I returned to pick up my pre-ordered glasses, I watched the representative rush to the front door and lock it as I approached. I knocked and explained through the glass that the website indicated the store was still open, but I was told to “come back next week.” After I pushed back, the door was reluctantly opened, though I was not permitted to enter. My glasses were handed to me outside, and the door was immediately shut again. As a result, I did not receive the proper fitting and final adjustment that I paid for. The entire interaction felt dismissive and fell well below the level of customer service I expect. Employees may not realize customers have choices in where they take their business, and although our insurance recently changed, I had planned to bring my children here for their glasses as well. Unfortunately, this experience was very disappointing, and I will not be returning.

from the reviews, and as a colored woman, it appears angel chose to provide abhorrent service specifically to me, giving me short answers and barely bothering to be informative on details on a product that would be an investment for my sight. as i’m trying to ask my question to become more educated on my purchase and coverage, he seemed annoyed and unwilling to help me navigate through my options. the recent negative reviews on his service are clearly a pattern that i managed to trigger with my presence as he barely bothered to greet me before taking my information. further, he questioned my prescription from an outside doctor making it sound invalid. after i clarified my doctors name, it was as if he had known him all along; very inconsistent of service with my 20+ years of wearing glasses. i eventually walked out after he could barely explain the $50 difference between blue light filters, “1 coat vs 3 coats”… which means nothing? with data and ai info available galore, it couldn’t be defined by maybe exposure times? screen distances? better relief of specific symptoms? even a “no big difference” would have been more helpful.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
