I am compelled to document an extremely troubling and unprofessional experience I had with the office manager, Yanely. Her conduct fell far below the standard expected in any healthcare environment. From the outset, the office manager, Yanely, communicated in a cold, condescending, and monotone manner that conveyed a clear lack of respect and regard. Her flat affect and dismissive tone created an atmosphere that was immediately uncomfortable and unnecessarily adversarial. Rather than demonstrating empathy or professionalism, she repeatedly deflected responsibility onto me in a way that felt both inappropriate and accusatory. Additionally, she directed comments toward my mother, suggesting that I needed to “speak more warmly” in order to receive a different response from her. This was both unprofessional and misplaced. At no point did I raise my voice or use profanity. I simply mirrored the tone she established at the start of the interaction. What made the interaction particularly concerning was her persistent need to assert authority. She repeatedly emphasized her title as “the manager,” creating an unmistakable power struggle that had no place in a patient care setting. Despite the simplicity of the task at hand, obtaining a signature for treatment, she insisted on inserting herself into the situation when it was entirely unnecessary. This could have easily and appropriately been handled by an assistant. Instead, she remained in the room for an extended period, imposing herself into the interaction and insisting that I engage with her directly when I could have worked with someone else. This behavior felt controlling, excessive, and highly unprofessional. Most alarming was her decision to remove my mother from the room without consent. Not only did she instruct her to leave, but she physically removed her dental drape, an action that felt intrusive and inappropriate. This overstep of personal boundaries was unacceptable and demonstrated a serious lapse in judgment. Overall, this experience reflected a pattern of poor communication, misuse of authority, and a lack of respect for patient autonomy and comfort. The office manager’s behavior was not only unprofessional but also disruptive to what should have been a straightforward and respectful interaction. Situations like this raise serious concerns about the management culture within the practice and should be addressed immediately. I can only imagine how it is for her subordinates, aside from her mini version, Genesis, who also does not have the soft skills needed for their roles.

I honestly never write Google reviews, but I had such a good experience that I felt like I should. I’ve been coming to this Gentle Dental for a few years now, and have seen about 4 hygienists over the years, with varying levels of care, and Juliette is easily the best one I’ve had here (These 5 stars are for her!). She was incredibly thorough with the cleaning and scaling, explained what she was seeing with my gums and teeth, and did a laser gum treatment while walking me through everything. You can tell she genuinely cares about dental health and making sure her patients are taken care of. She's also currently the only hygienist in the office, which made me respect the work she’s doing even more. As she still took her time making sure my teeth were spotless and didn’t rush my cleaning at all, all while we were having good conversation! I'm extremely grateful for the level of care she gives and would come back just for her!

I had Juliette as my dental hygienist and she was AMAZING! You can tell she is very passionate about what she does and is very knowledgeable. She thoughtfully and clearly explained every tool and procedure during my appointment and was very kind and compassionate. She helped me feel empowered about my care and safe in her chair :)

***update Turns out i had an infection and now I need a root canal*** The fact that I went in, in so pain, 2 months after my fillings and no new x-rays were taken to check why, was enough for me to cancel the rest of my treatment at this office. My teeth were left fused by the rushed, frustrated first dentist, leaving me uncomfortable and unble to floss for about 3 weeks. Naturally I asked if there was another dentist I could see to complete my work, they were understanding and happy to switch me which I appreciated. The new dentist was very nice with way better bedside manner than the first. I was told there wasn't really much that could be done about my fused teeth left by the first dentist but she polished them which helped a little but im still left with what looks like dark holes between my front teeth and a little resistance to floss. Very unfortunate and now considering costly cosmetic work because of this. By the time I was set to have my second corwn put in, my mouth, I was in so much pain I told anyone who would listen in the office "it hurts so bad it makes my eyes water" "It's wake me up" "I have to take ibuprofen and rub orajel all day long" "I cant even breath cold air, eat or drink comfortably" I was told this was normal and even though I was set for a new assignment by the new dentist they forwent the x-ray part (which was the part I thought would help to check why I may be in so much pain) and just looked at my previous xrays. A night guard was suggested but not before invisalign or braces of course. 2 stars is generous, but everyone, with the exception of the first dentist, was kind and accommodating in switching my dentist and working with my schedule. I write this with desperate pain i wondering where to even start to find relief. This does not feel normal and I would advise going somewhere where you feel listened too when you say something feels wrong.

I was called a day before my appointment to come in later to accommodate another appointment. ok - understandable. Upon arriving, I was made to wait 20 mins. My appointment was for a periodic cleaning, but I was told there would be an exam too as the doctor recommended it. ok - sure. After the exam, I was told I have an infection in my gums, and then I need this treatment, that treatment, that I would have to pay hundreds of dollars for out of pocket. I declined. I was told I was starting to get a cavity that needed a filling too. I was then told the cleaning would not be possible today as there was not enough time and another patient was coming in for their appointment. So, they rebooked me for the following week, and then said I have to make ANOTHER separate appointment for the filling. Absolute joke. I found another dental clinic and just had my cleaning and examination today. No infection, no cavity and nothing majorly concerning. Some inflammation in my gums but no one seemed too worried about it. They went about the cleaning just like they were supposed to, and I left a satisfied patient. It's not very hard. But when you try to aggressively push treatments (that aren't event required) and exaggerate issues so you can earn more money and bill insurance companies for those services, you are doing business unethically. I will not be returning. I would have given a 1-star review but the staff is relatively friendly.
