  I made an appointment for an eye checkup as I would need 3 new glasses. When I booked the appointment, it was for 3pm. When they called to remind me, they said it was for 3:30, so they changed it. I explained my appointment was booked for 3pm as I’m caregiver to my mother who has dementia and need to be home by 3:30 as I live a few minutes from Pearl Vision. I arrived at 2:50, 10 minutes to spare. At 3:05, the optometrist finished with her previous patient and fully expecting to be called next, they took in another patient who came after I did. When I asked why this was, all they told me is it would only take 10 minutes. I explained that I need to be home by 3:30, but they retorted that they thought I needed to leave by 3:30, which was a lame excuse. How could I possibly leave by 3:30, if I wouldn’t be able to see the optometrist until after 3:20? They then were prepared to reschedule my appointment for another day to which I said forget it, I’ll go somewhere else. So what we had was them first trying to change my 3pm to 3:30 to appease another client, to which I said no, my appointment is for 3pm, to them trying to keep me for 3:30, thinking I won’t object. Lousy service which cost them a long time patient/client as I’ve been going there for many years, along with the loss of selling 3 new pairs of glasses.
