Just had the best eyewear experience of my life at the LensCrafters at the Shops at Pickering City centre. Wynette is an absolute gem. I walked in completely clueless about what frames would actually suit me, and she turned it into a fun, stress-free session. Wynette picked out styles I never would have tried and nailed every single one. She explained progressive lenses and anti-fatigue coatings in plain English, worked magic with my insurance, and didn’t rush me for a second. I left with glasses that feel truly custom — I’ve never gotten so many compliments. If you’re anywhere near Pickering, Drop into our Wonderful mall. Worth a special trip.

The visit was was pretty quick and convenient. We came out of the optometrist office and were greeted by a staff member named Mark. He was very kind and funny and helped us go through numerous pairs of glasses/frames to decide which ones I liked best! Overall a good experience and they had the exact frames I wanted :). Glasses were also ready to be picked up in a weeks time 😁😁😁.

I had an excellent experience while shopping for a new pair of glasses. Everyone was friendly and Wynette; the associate that supported me provided me with various options that fit perfectly within my budget.

Ordered my frames and lenses ready to be picked up 1 week later. Vision distorted. Remade and distorted again. This went on for 6 weeks until they got it right.
Came to this place for many years & never had this issue. They also used to adjust frames to my face. Not anymore.
Not the first time I had a problem here. My
son (Who has been coming here for years) also bought frames a couple yrs back and had to get them remade because of distortion. Had glasses all his life, why are we having distortion issues now?
Another time worth mentioning,
I had chosen frames that I wasn’t happy with and they told me “oh they look great” after I said “no I don’t think I like them for my face.”
I ended up keeping them and never wore them again. Resorted to my old ones because I used up my insurance.
Rosanna - Fast helping to choose frames but other than that… kinda unhelpful.
Wynette - Very helpful.
Male - not sure his name, quick to help. Very attentive and helpful.
Felicia - Fantastic as always, always helps and fixes others problems. Thank you for saving my vision.
Eye doctor’s receptionist - Woman - wavy long dark hair, very attentive & helpful and always smiling. . I wish I knew her name. She is fantastic just like Felicia.
Just a word of advice- ask for Felicia you won’t be disappointed
I might choose another optical place next time, although my frames themselves are beautiful.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
