  Home Instead Peterborough is an excellent agency! They are responsive, efficient, flexible and treat clients with kindness and respect. Their staff are well trained and supported by the agency. I have had nothing but positive experiences with them.

  I fully endorse and recommend without any hesitation the services provided by the Peterborough Home Instead team. They provided support to my parents for 5 months, from December 2017 to March 2018. The team consists of a manager, scheduler and caregivers. The manager (Brenda Booth) planned and managed the individual care program for my parents in consulatation with me. When changes to the program where required they were implemented seamlessly by Brenda and her team. When emergency situations arose Brenda was there with a solution. Brenda went beyond my expectations to assist my parents, she cared for my parents as if they were her own. I can’t begin to thank her enough. It must be noted that during much of the support period I was out of the country. Brenda kept me informed of any issues or problems with my parents through email, text and the occassional telephone chat. She made herself available whenever I needed her. We sometimes communicated late in the evening or on weekends. Rosemary handles the scheduling and invoicing. With her assistance I was able to pay for the services electronically by e-transfer. Every two weeks an invoice detailing the days and hours spent was sent to me by email. The caregiver team members were excellent. I met most of the caregiver team before I left the country. They arrived promptly and performed their shifts with great care. I felt very comfortable leaving my parents in their hands. When it was time for my Dad to try out a retirement home in late February, Brenda and her team assisted in transitioning him to the home while maintaining support for my Mother in their condo. My Mother joined my Dad for a trial in March at the retirement home. Home Instead continues to provide reduced support to my Mother to assist her in staying in the retirement home. I tried other support services, government and another private care organization in Peterborough. None of these services can hold a candle to Brenda’s team. You need to look no further than the Peterborough Home Instead team to provide the care your parents need. I am truly thankful. Steve Mc Dougall

  Avoid at all costs! They can't deliver what they promise. On many occasions and at the last minute I would be phoned to notify me that no PSW could show up to look after my elderly father,who was living in Cobourg at the time. Then ,they hired a person who would contact me in an attempt to get longer hours for their caregivers and a higher rate of payment. I give 2 stars simply for the reason that some of the people they sent were of good quality.
