  On behalf of our family, we would like to share how lucky our father and mother have been to have Sherise as their primary caregiver this past month. Her calm and positive manner are very welcome attributes when supporting primarily our father by ensuring his safety while simultaneously helping our mother with cooking, organizing, light laundry and light cleaning. She has been a Godsend these past 4 weeks and my sister and I are appreciative of everything she has done and has continued to do by demonstrating empathy and understanding. Sherise has become an important part of their daily lives and we can't praise her enough for her commitment and consistency. We would also like to recognize Irene who supports our father once a week and also demonstrates great compassion for both of our parents. Thank you so much Sherise and Irene! Maria and Dora

  I had to supplement care for my mom at a retirement home as she has dementia and a recent UTI which was causing some delirium and she would need some short term 24/7 care and oversight. It was easy to set up an account and even easier to communicate with them around the clock. They helped coordinate the best schedules for coverage between their care and the existing homes capabilities, assisted with other levels of support and provided regular reporting on the oversight support of my mom. One thing that stood out for me, was the proactive communication. If at any time, we needed to remedy a change to a schedule, or if one of their PSW were going to be arriving late for any reason, they contacted both the residence and myself to advise so that all parties could coordinate and cover the short gap in time. As well, if a specific PSW was not able to make a schedule (which was minimal) they would proactively advise on who the on-site PSW was going to be in advance. In meeting most of the PSW in person, they were all very nice, professional and careful with my mom in every way which was amazing. I would recommend Home Instead. Our region was Peel (Mississauga / Connie and Nikita) but I am sure all of their regional coverage follows the same protocols and therefore would be worth working with. Thank you.
