  I have mixed feelings writing this review because the instructors at CycleBar Markham are absolutely incredible. I went to this studio for over a year, and I love Sarah, Rosemarie, Josh, and Iris’s classes. They bring so much energy and community to the room, and they are the reason I stayed as long as I did. Unfortunately, I recently cancelled my membership due to a very frustrating experience with management and the owner, Vasso. I was on a monthly recurring plan where my credits had been rolling over each month. Ahead of an upcoming trip, I had a lengthy, detailed conversation with Vasso in the studio. I explicitly mentioned multiple times that my credits currently roll over, and I asked if those accumulated credits would still be there if I froze my account while travelling. I was told face-to-face that it "should be fine," that I’d keep my credits, and to just follow up with an email. I even confirmed a second time with her to make sure that my accumulated credits would still apply and she confirmed again. However, once I emailed, the story completely changed. I was told that credits absolutely do not roll over, and that my experience was just a "technical issue." While I understand policy is policy, I am deeply disappointed by the lack of accurate and upfront communication in the studio. If an owner is selling class packages, they should know how they function. If I had been given the correct information during our in-person conversation, I would have cancelled right then and there. Instead, because of the misinformation, I had to cancel later over email, which triggered their 30-day cancellation policy and resulted in being charged for an extra month, which felt a bit sneaky and left a bad taste in my mouth. Five stars for the instructors, but a major thumbs down for management transparency and communication. Some of these amazing instructors also teach at other studios, which might be a better fit if you're looking for a better overall experience!!
