The place is good - it's a grocery store, not much else to say. One thing that does need to be said is that Neesa, the Cashier is one of the nicest ladies I've ever met - GIVE HER A RAISE ASAP! She went out of her way to ensure that I took advantage of BOGO deals and helped me save money on my groceries. On top of that, every single time I go, she always manages to put the biggest smile on my face. She always has something funny or nice to say that always brightens a customer's day. If you are an employer, hire Neesa! Her attention to detail and hard work along with her personality is worth a million bucks a year and safeway is lucky to have her. Also, she always takes the time to double bag my groceries and strategically place items so they dont break a bag - not to mention that she knows where everything in the store is. MAKE NEESA MANAGER

I am a regular at the Safeway Pharmacy on College Avenue in Oakland and have consistently had great experiences there. Jia, one of the staff pharmacists has taken the time to help me search for better prices on multiple occasions. The pharmacy techs manning the front counter are consistently pleasant and helpful, and I feel like I know them. It sounds strange, but I look forward to picking up my prescriptions. This particular corporate pharmacy has the culture and feel of a local neighborhood drug store from another time in a very good way. Thank you to the staff at the Safeway Pharmacy on College Avenue.

Totally inconsistent service. This month they refused to sell my wife her doctor-prescribed medicine, even though she has always picked up the exact prescription and dosage there. She needs that medicine to control her arthritis, but they are withholding it because of some new and sudden quibble with the doctor's verbiage. Heaven forbid they reach out to the doctor to clarify!

Why is reviewing my Medicare plan every year important?
Reviewing your Medicare plan every year is important because Medicare Advantage (Part C) and Medicare Prescription Drug Plans (Part D) can change annually. These changes may affect your coverage, out-of-pocket costs, and provider network. By reviewing your plan during the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period, you can ensure it still meets your healthcare needs and budget—and switch plans if necessary.
