There's been a lot of turnover of audiologists at this office, but now in 2026 they have Randy James, who is excellent. He helped replace a broken receiver, domes, and reprogrammed my devices. He is a creative problem solver, and though it took longer than either of us expected, he solved my issues. My only complaint is that the Pleasanton office didn't give me a complete invoice from a year ago, and it caused some warranty confusion in the Oakland office.

They determined that my hearing aid needed to be sent for repair, and it was back in only a week. I came in, RJ recalibrated it with the other hearing aid, and then reset both. RJ the audiologist was extremely helpful, and Ruth the assistant has always been wonderful. I was very impressed with the previous audiologist as well.

I recently saw their new audiologist RJ James for a check up on my Phonak hearing aids. The service was excellent! RJ was thorough in conducting a fresh hearing test and explaining the results. He made adjustments, both replacing my domes and recalibrating the amplification. These changes have immediately given me significant improvement in my hearing.

The service here has been extremely poor and has caused me a lot of inconvenience and wasted time.
I had an appointment scheduled. The evening before, they called to remind me that my appointment was at 9:00 AM the next day. I arrived at the office on time. When I walked in, they saw me but did not greet me or say a single word. I assumed they were busy, so I waited. After standing there for about 7 minutes, once they finished what they were doing, they finally spoke to me and told me that the doctor was not available that day because he was sick. They rescheduled me for another day, and we had already spent one hour there for nothing.
We scheduled another appointment about 2–3 weeks later. Close to that date, they called again and told me that my appointment had been canceled and moved to an earlier date. I asked why, and she said the doctor had an earlier availability. I explained that I wanted to keep my original appointment because I have work and cannot easily take time off. Eventually, she agreed to keep the original date.
I ordered a hearing aid for my father. I clearly requested that it be mailed to my home because I am very busy. I have two young children and I work full-time. About three weeks later, they sent the device to their office instead of my home. They called me again to schedule another appointment to pick it up. I asked why it was not sent to my home address as requested. The receptionist simply said the device had arrived and that I needed to come to the office to get it.
I scheduled another appointment for 9:00 AM the next day. I told them I could not take time off work, so I arranged for someone to take my parents there. When they arrived, there was only one trainee doctor and one receptionist. The doctor was late for some reason. They were told they had to wait 30 minutes because the doctor was stuck in traffic. My mother could not wait and had to leave.
When I called the office, they said the system was having technical issues and had not been fixed. Why was this not resolved earlier? Why didn’t they call us in advance? Both times, they let us come to the office only to send us home again.
This level of service is unprofessional and unacceptable. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed.
