I am extremely disappointed with my experience. I paid $130 for an eye exam and was provided with an inaccurate prescription. Despite clearly communicating my needs and concerns, the eye doctor was unwilling to listen and instead insisted on their own assessment.
As a direct result, I received glasses that I could not comfortably wear and had to request that the prescription be revised. This led to the inconvenience and expense of reordering my glasses twice. Ultimately, I abandoned the prescription altogether and ordered glasses using a prescription from another doctor.
What I found most frustrating was the lack of willingness to consider patient feedback. As the person paying for the exam and the glasses - and the one expected to wear them every day for years - it is reasonable to expect that my concerns would be taken seriously. Instead, I felt dismissed throughout the process.
Overall, this was an unnecessarily stressful, time-consuming, and expensive experience. I cannot recommend this clinic based on the quality of care and customer service I received.

Dr. Joel Kaplan is very thorough on his assessment, clearly explains the diagnosis in laymans terms, he also gave us alternative eye drops/ointments that have less preservatives and cheaper cost.

Dr. Joel Kaplan was very kind, professional, and thorough when seeing my son. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made him feel comfortable during the appointment. We appreciated the excellent care and would highly recommend him to other families.
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What is involved in an eye exam?
An eye exam involves a series of simple but comprehensive tests that allow your optometrist to assess your vision and your eye health. Your optometrist will discuss the results of your eye exam with you and determine the right prescription to help you to see your best.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
