I have had two surgeries with Dr. Melikian, both at the DISC surgery center, and both surgeries have had marked results. I was feeling great within a week post op, using no pain medications, and have regained a lot of mobility. The center and his office is the cleanest I have ever seen and the nurses and assistants are very kind, respectful, and knowledgeable. It has been a great experience and very helpful in getting me more mobile and physical. Dr. Melikian is understanding of my desire to gain back strength and agility and always recommends a conservative approach. Overall, I cannot speak higher of Dr. Melikian or his office and staff.

From the initial contact through all my post-surgery care, every single person of the many different people that I encountered were on top of their game, with a high sense of urgency, and a high attention to detail. Most importantly, they were each very kind, personable warm and friendly. A special call out to Bella, Dr. Melikian’s medical assistant, who provided excellent guidance in helping me to navigate all the preparatory documentation, administrative and insurance authorization in the lead-up to the surgery. Equally wonderful, Joanna, Dr. Melikian’s Physician’s Assistant, reassured me and took wonderful care of me in the pre-surgery medical prep, the day of the surgery and then followed up with me afterwards as we mitigated the normal post-surgery pain and care. The facility itself is very new, very modern architecturally, immaculately clean and all in all, just very, very nice. It’s a real “Booge” experience!! And then there’s conductor of the orchestra – Dr. Melikian. I suffered with 15 years of nerve pain in my left lower back down through my left leg to my foot due to stenosis in my L4 / L5 Lumber. Dr. M. performed a micro decompression “laminectomy” – I came out of the surgery – no more nerve pain – gone - and to this day now almost two weeks later – no more nerve pain - gone. I’m beyond thrilled!! The Doc is a magician!! And on top of that, he’s one heck of a nice guy, ever the professional, while also being very warm, present and real in our conversations together. I highly recommend the DISC team and Dr. Melikian if you ever need this type of care. They are an absolutely wonderful group of people. Jeff
