While this urgent care in the end, saved my 17 yo daughter‘s life by giving her an EpiPen for a nut allergy while she was with a friend in Malibu on her own. They initially turned away this poor 17-year-old who was having anaphylaxis because they were closing in five minutes at 9 o’clock on a Friday.. It is of utmost importance that these and facilities take very seriously when children are in dire need of life-saving. There is no other place in Malibu at that time at night to get help. Again grateful they saved her life, but was terrified in those 10 minutes They were not going to help her and told her to call 911 while they had the life-saving EpiPen behind the doors.

I am deeply disappointed and disturbed by the treatment I received at this clinic, both medically and ethically. My experience began with Dr. Ashley Bateman, who consistently ran late and exhibited an extremely cold and detached bedside manner. She entered incorrect information in my medical records, which has had serious legal implications. Additionally, I have strong reason to believe she violated HIPAA regulations by disclosing my private medical information inappropriately. Seeking better care, I transitioned to Dr. Frochtzwajg, who was more compassionate. However, the front desk and administrative staff at this clinic are severely mismanaged and display a troubling lack of professionalism and empathy. During a medical emergency, I presented myself at the urgent care located next to the clinic 20 minutes before their lunch closure. Despite the obvious urgency of my condition, I was refused care and met with indifference. Instead of receiving medical attention, I was met with hostility. Paulina, the clinic manager, emerged and began berating me about an unrelated missed PCP appointment from the previous week. Her behavior was aggressive, inappropriate, and highly unprofessional—especially considering I was in weak and clearly seeking urgent medical assistance. To my shock, she instructed staff to call the sheriff on me, with what I believe was malicious intent, simply for attempting to receive care. I later discovered I had been dismissed from the clinic without any valid explanation, further confirming the retaliatory and unethical nature of their actions. Given that Dr. Ashley Bateman’s father runs the clinic, the entire environment feels inappropriately insular and lacking in accountability. This facility has failed me both medically and morally. I will be pursuing legal action and reporting them to the appropriate regulatory and licensing boards. HHS ORC MBC make sure you do the same when you are treated with such negligence

I just left the office. I am blown away by how I was treated. Professional, efficient, fast and Dr. McDermott has a great sense of humor. I am so happy to have this resource in Malibu.

I came here with my boyfriend on an emergency on Memorial Day and it was a mistake really to think they would even consider helping us. My boyfriend got a really bad cut while fishing on the Malibu pier and was bleeding out and in extreme pain and about to pass out. We ran over here to try and get him immediate medical care it was around 5:20pm when we got there a girl opened the door and said “we are closed” even though online and on the actual door she was leaning on said open till 6pm. Then I begged her please is there anything you can do he is bleeding out he needs immediate attention she said let me ask and whoever she asked pretty much said no and she came back out and said sorry but we are closing. ZERO care or sympathy for any care or attention for a human being in extreme pain needing immediate medical assistance. I would not recommend this place to anyone and will never come here again. Extremely disappointing to be in the middle of an emergency and get rejected by a facility that calls themselves an “Immediate Care Facility”
